Fans mysteriously don't tend to be happy about plans to move their club 26 miles and change the name. Though, Meadowbank Stadium is now used by Edinburgh FC, flying high in the Scottish League One, so Livi may return there in the near future!

Spoiler, that's not for a few weeks yet.

I mean, how? They're a bloody bakery and they sell about three million products a week. That is financially weird.

Bill Drummond was convinced that Justified and Ancient would be number one "until Freddie went and died". And they did blatantly add BR for commercialisation. However, don't knock the impact of the Innuendo album. Perhaps fuelled by Freddie concern (it was an open secret he was very sick by 1991), but also by it being a great album, well received, it was one of their fastest selling albums since Greatest Hits a decade previously, and the singles out of it had done remarkably well for Queen in that time period. Even the contemporary music press, who hated Queen, mostly said it was a good album and good song. So yeah, TATDOOL would have topped the chart regardless of "thunderbolt and lightning" additions - public approval of that album's singles, and the post-death Freddie Mania (which continued for years - Freddie has a number one in 1993, despite being dead for 2 years) would have sealed the deal. Also, as your grumpy Scot, I use the word "beautiful" about once a century. That is a beautiful song, almost a threnody on acceptance at the bitter end.

50 really is a smaller number than people think. Whenever I put a list together for Book's prediciton game I wind up with a shortlist of around 150 names and that's just folk famous enough and old or sick enough for the DL!

She dies and... nah I'm just shitting you.

Aye, he's done well to recover this much from his illness but he'll have issues for life. Still, one on the list of names I could never pick for anything (msc jr would kill me!) so hopefully he wont be troubling other deadpoolers for a while yet.

I didn't know it'd be relevant but this forum is great at the long term jinx...

I suspect his twin brother, Gregor Gun-Good.

She's dead and all! As is Jackson, whom Jarvis famously sent up in the 90s. Hmm, Curse of Cocker in 5...4...

Fucks sake! It's us Pulp fans getting fucked by this news tbf.

A heart defect, but mostly an addiction to mixing painkillers and booze. Sid outlived his wife and two children.

Wee Jum in Madonna stay of execution shocker!

In total numbers, not a clue, but there was one round of sixteen where Marieke Vervoort was picked by every single team left. And survived the month.

Given I deleted one erroneous Vanilla Ice, must have wound up with 3 of the fuckers. Nightmare. Quick prediction while I'm here: while it helped the song with the public (as did, alas, Freddie dying), the wonderful These are the Days of our Lives probably wont last as long as it should, being anchored to "70s novelty song" (TM) Bohemian Rhapsody here! Not saying folk grew to hate that guy but I know folk who wont say a bad word about U2 because they overthrew Bryan Adam's millennia on top of the charts with Everything I Do!

Pet Shop Boys video and the bad guy from Lethal Weapon 2 immediately come to mind here. The diplomatic immunity guy (which is genuinely the only thing I remember from the Lethal Weapon films!).

The conversation about the lack of obits for Nobel Prize winners lately, and the lack of Berg on the DDP, are interlinked of course.

M'lord, The Simpsons is a popular satirical cartoon series. It is still made today, though not as popular as it was in its heyday in the 90s. Do the Bartman was Europe's first widespread introduction to Bart Simpson and it sold so well it told the Americans the show could be just as lucrative worldwide as it was turning out to be in the USA. The song isn't that good, but its success did allow us to see a number of great episodes of TV, so cool.

Could be worse, Grim, I just picked living names from my DDP team and now run the risk of losing to someone who picked Jamie Vardy!
