This means nothing to you? -
The Goons did the same. First to go was Peter Sellers (1925-80), then Michael Bentine (1922-96), Harry Secombe (1921-2001), and finally the oldest, Spike (1918-2002).

The benefits, I assure you, of a classical education, a few seances, and copious use of Random.org.

Thats the problem with Not the List of the Missed - only 20 spots!

At this point in the week, certainly. Who knows what will happen between now and then though.

David Storey wrote This Sporting Life, which became the film of the same name. The film had William Hartnell in one of his great film roles. Verity Lambert saw the film, and immediately cast Hartnell as the original Doctor Who. Hartnell and the show became icons. In other words, Storey is inadvertently responsible for Doctor Who.

Aloysius "Lucky" Gordon, of Profumo Affair fame, gets a Guardian obit. If he were mentioned on here before, the search engines not bringing it up.

You're telling me! As it stands, I'm going to look like Harvey Dent got a terrible case of OCD! On that note, I'd like to preemptively thank Death Impends for his efforts in the last few days to prevent me getting repetitive strain injury here...

That's probably a topic for another thread, not the Deathlist Cup. Well, you never know. Games that close are open to sudden twists of fate.

Pressure from UKIP right now is like threats from a one legged puppy, really. Though dogs are nice, of course.

Pretty sure there was Two Ronnies sketch (or ten) based around that very idea.

As comic book artist Oliver Nome dies, have we just had the most pivotal hit of the round? The Dead Cow takes the lead over one of the Cup favourites with 5 days left! Elsewhere, Gcreptile increases his lead. Rad’s Die-monds in the Sky (Rad Guy) vs Bibliogryphon 1-0 The Dead Cow vs Tommy J’s Eleven to Heaven – Or Elsewhere for Nevin (Death Impends) 8-6 Heef vs Death Comes to Wembley (Garn2) 4-3 Maryportfuncity vs 101 Great Practical Jokes with Luciano Re Cecconi (Spade Cooley) 0-3 Captain Chorizo vs The GUN’11 (Grim Up North) 1-1 The Cooler Name (Switch) vs DDT 0-2 Deadsox vs Pedro67 0-0 Rover’s Rovers (Roverandout) vs “O” (gcreptile) 2-8

The Kinks are better than both of them if you ask me.

It's a spreading glioblastoma. They can slow it, but... One of these days I'm going to learn how to spell glioblastoma properly without looking it up.

Yeah, well, I'm equal place with Quantick's Showbiz Pals. So take that!

Checked the schedule on Radio Times now I know it's on: Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, James Corden, David Walliams, Miranda Hart... Fucking hell, I bet Michael McIntyre's on it and all. -

Last time I saw Comic Relief, Rik Mayall appeared as Alan B'stard in a sketch about then PM Margaret Thatcher. Might have been a few years ago now. -

I love this thread. It makes me look incredibly left wing by comparison at times. -
So what you're saying is: sometimes, obvious weeks are obvious weeks!

4/5? Fucking hell. That's unacceptably competent predicting for Last Word.

I never got the anti-Trump protests in the UK. "Oh, folk in a different country are protesting, I best resign or something." Most of these things seem to consist of folk who can afford to protest. Not really much of a socialist but I do share what appears to be DDT's disdain for trustafarians. -

Just a shade over ten years since Brad Delp's death, too.
