He only needs a single mention in any English speaking news source in the world (or the big 2 in France, I would have accepted the top paper in Germany but Gcreptile never told me what it was!). Alan Aspin didn't even get that, of course.

There's only 50 spots and a whole lot of big name celebs who are only known to be old. Besides, only 2 people out of nearly 20 picked him on the Crowdsourced Deathlist. No general consensus at all. He was 90. He died. It happens.
-
I hope if he wins the 2017 DDP they add that into the film.
-
I suspect so too, though I'd be quite happy if Here's What You Could Have Won filled up with List of the Lost picks, as it would suggest my radar for QO's for the main team had improved! Apart from Aspin
-
I wouldn't say it's a massive miss - a miss, for sure - as for years people on this very forum have said "Dont pick Chuck Berry, he's clearly doing fine". Clearly not a massive miss if folk thought he'd be a wasted pick!

Johnny B Dead. RIP.

Oh, go on, you've convinced me... Gord Downie - Reaching prognosis, missing from some stuff, weeks left imo. 95% Al-Baghdadi - Actively being hunted down, 9 months of the year left. 80% Alan Aspin obit - Hahaah next question. Leah Bracknell - I'm not as optimistic as others. She looked a few months from death on Loose Women, to me. I'm thinking July. 95% Colin Butts - Was crowdfunding to get a pioneering cancer op done privately after his terminal cancer reacted "unusually well" to chemo. Apparently he's doing quite well. 30% Errol Christie - Coming up to his year, silent on social media. 90% Rayya Elias - Well, she's had pancreatic/liver cancer for about a year, but is planning gigs in August. 75% Greg Gilbert - He'll be gone within a year. Just which side of Christmas, I'm not sure. 70% Anna Holmlund - Deteriorated considerably in the last few weeks, apparently. 50% Sasha Lakovic - Should go any day now, but obit worries exist. 90% Catherine Nevin - Should go any day now. 99% Simon Ricketts - A 2017/18er, chemo working the now so likely to be a 2018er. 65% Stefan Karl Stefansson - Doing well for now, but likely to go in 2018. 55% Ben Suisala - He'll go this year, but obit might be tricky. 90% Paul Van Zandvliet - the op failed, and he's got pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma. 99%

Life is speculation. As Camus put it: "have you ever heard of a man with cancer being killed in an auto smash?" And we all know what happened to him!
-
I refer you to Sentence 3 of 5 in the post you quoted. (Do ignore the use of "come" instead of "came" - oo-er, etc)
-
"He, Cat and Predictor (who it says hasn't been around for a while either) will post in time." What I thought I posted before going to make dinner, but apparently I shut the window. Anyhow, come back and find Predictor posted within about ten mins. Good timing. You next, Cat.
-
Well, hopefully one of the non-both team picks go in the next 13 days, otherwise I'm going to have to do my best Harvey Two Face impression.
-
Aspin died over a month ago. Bit late in the day now.
-
Don't worry, Rad Guy, I'm sure The Mirror would give you an obit too in that case.
-
I might join in the list-making later (everyone knows I don't really do many lists), but while I'm somewhat occupied: 1. This makes me so happy. Makes me sound far more Machiavellian... 2. It didn't even fool the person I was replying to. It got a drive-by hit instead. 3. Remember "Simon fucking Hoggart"... We're overdue someone living to Calment's levels. Maryport might not think that, given his team though. Mind you, given the 198 points up for grabs for her in the Death by Numbers, Shaun might be hoping she sees 130...
-
If he is alive in 2018, he'll be on the Deathlist AND The Drop 40.
-
Oh, well, that's typical! See if that Michael Carberry decides to announce that his cancer is actually Stage IV pancreatic-metastatic angiosarcomic glioblastoma next...
-
Shocked he was still going. Last I saw - nearly a year ago - he was "seriously ill with metastatic bladder cancer and outlived a prognosis of 4 months tops".
-
Blimey, well done DDT!

Cardinal Vlk has died (and I see TDC has noted this in the time it took me to write this up) which is points for Death Impends too. Seriously guys, we don't want a penalty shootout here! Had a glance around but don't see any other hits. Rad’s Die-monds in the Sky (Rad Guy) vs Bibliogryphon 1-0 The Dead Cow vs Tommy J’s Eleven to Heaven – Or Elsewhere for Nevin (Death Impends) 6-6 Heef vs Death Comes to Wembley (Garn2) 4-1 Maryportfuncity vs 101 Great Practical Jokes with Luciano Re Cecconi (Spade Cooley) 0-3 Captain Chorizo vs The GUN’11 (Grim Up North) 1-1 The Cooler Name (Switch) vs DDT 0-2 Deadsox vs Pedro67 0-0 Rover’s Rovers (Roverandout) vs “O” (gcreptile) 0-6

He might never be King. British monarchs have a tendency to outlive at least one of their kids.
-
Well, they know roughly where Al-Baghdadi is, they're hunting him down and its March. If he's still alive on January 1st, I will lose so much respect for the competence of "imperialist warmongers"... Anyhow, Suisalas been mentioned by Joey, I wonder what the latest on Sasha Lakovic is. He's outlived his prognosis now.
-
There's never been confirmation on the whole George VII thing (though it gets heavily rumoured) but it does seem likely he wont go for Charles - for some reason, it's seen as unlucky...

Gerry and the Pacemaker. Up there with We Die Young for chancing fate...
