No useful ones like "people recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but not yet dead"...

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
msc replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
A few of my own "great-grand-pawpaws" did come from Ireland, but I agree, it's weird to base your heritage on stuff which happened 100 years ago (or more) in a country you never visit, in most of these cases! I'm only Scottish. Folk should just be honest and say they like St Pats because it gives them a chance to be drunk as they believe in stereotyping nations. Mind you, probably just as well it's only the drinking stereotype they pick to emulate... From experience, people mostly use it as an opportunity to get drunk. In other words, in America, it's considered St Patricks Day, but in Glasgow, it was Friday. -
My picks would be nearly identical to YW, so I'll just cheat instead and say "Surtees, Casey, plus 3 archive ones of people no one has ever heard of before..."

Those who assess their deadpool chances by their victims social media presence, Smith Hart hasn't posted in over three weeks, an unusual event in of itself.

"After the bad news of yesterday and feeling like shite, faceing the news and the worst and best case sinario. so i have a timeline to get my house in order. After the initial tears with the family, i am feeling surprising positive no more time for tears, just time to get on with the battle for as long as i can maintain my strength NO FEAR." Am going to read between the lines and guess that op didn't work.

Same, actually. As long as she lives, she'll be good for those "What about when she dies" articles.
-
Aye well, in stats I just made up, if you remove the votes that were "fuck the Tories/Labour/etc", the UK voted in favour of remaining. Honest. I mean, they blatantly didn't but if we're playing inane hypotheticals...

So that's some of the code words they wont use now!

Died 2 months before a Chamberlain family member finally became PM. Rotten timing.
-
Billy Connolly does bit for Comic Relief looking... ok actually, imo, for a near 75 year old man with Parkinsons. The wife points out he says he "has cancer" when he was publicly in remission, though. Could be a figure of speech, though.
-
Europe's pretty much off the cards regardless now.
-
Bit unfair on a dying man to suggest he meets the British PM, really.
-
Any talk about him being worth of a Deathlist place seems moot then - he wont see 2018.
-
Theoretically they could be the first team to be in a CL from a lower division. They wont be though - crash out to one of the big three next round, and win enough home games to stay up. Then swiftly revert just to being Leicester again.

Premium article, apparently. But a couple once had an argument? Christ, that's never happened before.

Breathing is good. "The trick to not dying is to keep breathing" said Lemmy once. He stopped following his own advice and look what happened to him. -
For some reason, this thread reminds me of Jonathan Watson's sketch on Sky's view of the Old Firm game... "And if he celebrates in front of the Rangers fans, wont that really incite them....hopefully?"

They are in order of Cabinet/parliamentarians but you'll note neither is ranked, hence the bracket. Carrington's a popular name for deadpools round here so the age perspective was useful, or summat.
-
Yes, it was quite popular over here in the 90s - when Channel 4 did that Top 100 Animated Films/TV show in 2004* compiled by their sponsors the voting public, Spongebob finished in 28th place, ahead of The Magic Roundabout, Rugrats, etc... I thought it was a bit rubbish but I was probably too old for it, younger family members loved it. *Channel 4 didn't have SuperTed on the voting shortlist, so crap list.

1. Ronald Atkins (b. 1916) (Lord Carrington, Lord Chalfont) 2. Sir Patrick Duffy (b. 1920) 3. Michael Shaw, Baron Shaw (b. 1920) The three oldest living MPs now. Atkins has a considerable lead in gold position now.

Well, Rayya Elias has booked a show for the 19th July, so she seems fairly confident she'll outlive the Black Widow.

I think the biggest deficit between Current Leader and Eventual Winner was 47 points in 2013.

Somewhere very much like the current First Minister has said, in private, that the whole leaving the currency issue outstanding last time was an error. So I'd like to think someone like her would have a public answer for that one this time around. Anyhow, who cares about the EU fast track or what not? There's not an option on the table, apparently, which leaves Scotland in the EU and not needing re-entry, either as Indy or as part of the UK doing a U-turn. So, you know, this isn't a bargaining issue, it's a thing which will happen regardless. Also, sod the oil. I'd give it to the English. Give them the nukes too. (Visual representation of me at the negotiation table...)
