She was on Steven's family tree list, I'd assume!

Happy birthday to a Deathlist forum legend. Bring back the Swing Band! There you go, @Death Impends

15 months from remission to death. The upshot is: there'll be once less Icelandic male for sure, for those "1 in everyone 200 Icelandic men just beat England" stats when they qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Aye, remember Ray Price? Pancreatic cancer always wins.

I can't either. I took Paul's reply above to mean its deliberate, mind you.

Obligatory Peter Falk reference. That jokes not been made in at least a few seconds..

A few more days will suffice. 314 of them...

Ah good, Drol, rumours of your demise were greatly exaggerated, I see. Either that, or I didn't understand a word of Charon's post in the Forum Downtime thread, which is obviously equally likely here... Karl was always a 2017/2018 punt, but I'll admit to being surprised if he's actually in remission as it stands, as reading between the lines the cancer was advanced when first spotted, and it's pancreatic.

Hewlett was a unique hit, surprisingly. A decisive one for Pedro? Young Willz Thistle Do Nicely v Captain Chorizo 0-4 Maryportfuncity FC v Morbid Kid 2-8 The GUN’11 (Grim Up North) v JoeyRuss 6-4 Deathray v Heef 0-8 Chopped Liver v Death Comes to Wembley (Garn2) 2-6 Shaun of the Dead v Rad Guy 2-4 Charon v The Dead Cow 2-9 The Cooler Name (Switch) v I Might Have to Pull You Off at Half-Time (Rockhopperpenguin) 4-2 Pedro67 v Jiroemon Kimura 7-2 Msc v Gcreptile 4-7 In other news, it may take me a while to get used to the new forum.

Round 3? Someones confident against Spade! And yeah, you can pick all your survivors if you like.

Thread Description Restoration Project
msc replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Otherwise, I have nothing, which will come as no shock to those who see the awful puns I come up with in The Crowdsourced Deathlist thread... -
We're open for entries for Round 2. PM them, to me, before midnight on the 28th. Pan Breed Round 2 team (posted solely in case of need - which is rather unlikely right now...) 1. Gord Downie 2. Leah Bracknell 3. Rayya Elias 4. Sasha Lakovic 5. Tony Booth 6. Colin Meads 7. Mary Wilson (Pan Breed favourite) 8. Dean Stockwell 9. John Woodvine 10. Ben Suisala 11. Jay Clark And if you think I've picked the last two deliberately in the open, so that, in the odd chance I beat gcreptile, they avoid getting unique bonuses in this game, you're absolutely right.
-
I didn't either and yet I'm on the scoreboard. That'll be the secret Cat bonus. Somewhere, Cat Stevens, Cat Power, etc are consulting their lawyers...

There was some talk on here about him being in ill health last year, I think from DDT.
-
Google having a laugh. The twitter sidebar on "Donald Trump" brings up this, randomly: "(@realDonaldTrump) I say we cannot continue to let Obama fly around on Air Force 1, at a cost of millions of dollars a day, for the purpose of politics & play! 25 Jul 2014 · Twitter" Now watch this drive!
-
Yeah, though there was a documentary about him last year where he looked far better than previously reported.
-
Yeah, Race is meant to be doing OK. Which is good, as he's a proper legend. I'd trust Superstar as far as I could throw him. Vader's more honest, for a pro-wrestler, imo, but pessimistic - let's see if DDP Yoga gives him some extra years. People who feel like next 4 year picks (not directly due to ill health): Iron Sheik, Adrian Street, Ole Anderson, Pedro Morales*, the Wild Samoans, Perro Aguayo Sr*, Bushwhacker Butch*, and Jesse Ventura. *All alleged to have some form of severe ill health. Mind you, ECW is starting to catch up with its alumni, so maybe it's time for folk to start health watching Raven, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Sandman, et all. Younger folk? Paul London's 37 this year and has got "random OD in his mid 40s" written all over him. Blue Meanie is 44 this year, has serious asthma issues, and his weight fluctuates heavily, prime HA candidate. And just how the hell did Masato Tanaka make it to 44? He wont see 50. A lot of time bombs are aging - Sunny (45), Joey Abs (46), Marty Jannetty (55). And then you get to the biggest time bomb of all: Mick Foley's brain. Whereas a bunch of the aging folk - Rene Goulet, Bruno, Race - feel like they'll be around for a while yet. There we go, a post full of supposition. I look forward in years to come if the forum and I am still around, to see this being as wrong as those 2005 posts saying "Jake Roberts can't have long left.."
-
It's sad... that this wasn't a notice for Catherine Nevin, like I had immediately assumed on seeing the thread updated.
-
I tend to go for random old people, but I decided to go for ill people this year for a change. The Hartlepool Deadlypool was the first forum deadpool I ever took part in, back when it was on its own website and I was gracefully allowed to enter half my 2011 DDP team that I screwed up sending that year. Got 4 hits that year: Lubbock, Courtney, Gough and Rafferty.
-
It's the 4th anniversary of a TMIB favourite iirc but I'll leave that in case he wants to post it. Otherwise 2 wrestlers died on this day: woman's pioneer Mildred Burke in 1989, aged 73, and, from 1995, territories star/ECW co-founder/complete nutter Eddie Gilbert aged only 33. I still remember getting my VHS of the 1996 Royal Rumble, and during it Mr Perfect refers to scrub Doug Gilbert's "late, great brother Eddie" - the first I knew Gilbert had died, which was a big shock to child me at the time.
-
He means that YoungWillz usually collates the hits in one place for the very busy host, but that if your chap has died, been confirmed by both sides (terrorist thing), and got a Qualifying Obit, he'll appear in a future round up. YW being good at spotting the non-household names deaths... Is there a QO yet, though? I see his death in the Independent (no longer a QO), but elsewhere it's still the old "believed to be dead" stories, I think?
-
Oh, its June Foray! A quick glance at the public teams give us: MorbidKid 1/12, MPFC 4/11, Uschi 1/12, Drol 4/12, Pedro 3/12, Dead Cow 1/12, Hades 1/11, Joey 1/12, Radguy 4/12, Msc 6/13, Toast 1/12, Death impends 2/12 In terms of hits, but I will obviously leave the table/placings/etc to Ali for the obvious reasons. 1. It's his game! 2. It's Maths. I studied Dickens to get away from Maths. 3. I don't actually understand the points rules anyway! But yeah, we seem to be having a fast and furious Deadlypool to go along with the DDP.
-
TJS is still my pick to win - much of the points difference will be wiped out when his joker dies. Bert's started very well, but there's some big names not on his team which may see others get closer if they snuff it.
-
Genuinely, DI, when I saw Skellern, Snuka and Wetton were on the Drop 40, you could have heard my "Oh fucking hell" from over in America.
-
A quick tot up of my team suggests 6/13 (including one early starter and 2 subs) are now gone, and Downie/Ricketts/Nevin/Bracknell/Elias/Christie/Van Zandvliet left standing. Don't think I'll win, but I am fairly confident of cutting that team down further.
