I will discuss that with the finalists at the time should it be necessary. Ie Cross bridge when it comes.
-
Nope, we move swiftly onto the next round. If its announced on March 3rd that someone's team player died on the 28th February, well, sorry about your damned luck.
-
When the round ends, the round ends.

Pretty sure Simon MacCorkingdale and Gareth Hunt both died the same week their final TV appearances aired.
-
He might mean "stress related" ie blaming Corbyn. Though that Abbott attack does sort of throw Kaufman under the bus, especially since his illness "isn't public".

Both of those count. It's a break of serve (if you will) for The Dead Cow and Gcreptile! Young Willz Thistle Do Nicely v Captain Chorizo 0-0 Maryportfuncity FC v Morbid Kid 0-0 The GUN’11 (Grim Up North) v JoeyRuss 2-0 Deathray v Heef 0-2 Chopped Liver v Death Comes to Wembley (Garn2) 0-0 Shaun of the Dead v Rad Guy 0-0 Charon v The Dead Cow 0-3 The Cooler Name (Switch) v I Might Have to Pull You Off at Half-Time (Rockhopperpenguin) 0-0 Pedro67 v Jiroemon Kimura 0-0 Msc v Gcreptile 2-5

From twitter, the South American press is calling her dead en masse. We just need: "Qualifying obits? Every single English language newspaper in the universe. Also Le Monde and the biggest selling newspaper in Germany (Die Zeit?)."
-
Sounds like The Dead Cow could be going 3-0 up on Charon before the end of the day. One of his unique picks, the former Brazilian First Lady, is brain dead. Unfortunately for TDC, points only count once a person is dead dead.

I came across it, as I'm sure many others did. But it's prostate cancer, albeit stage IV. No dice. Certainly did, but folk last ages with prostate cancer. There was just too many better options on the table.

(Note - Nearly all the gifs available were us conceding! Google doesn't have to rub it in, like...)

I thought Carrington *might* sneak onto the Deathlist but fame criteria, etc etc.
-
Joost van der Westhuizen *is* his Scrabble Age right now, until February 20th, but if we add his Drop 40 bonus...
-
That brings Jiroemon's sub Nobby Stiles into play instead. Bad luck JK, both on the timing and on the host not nicking a "Favourite Paedo Scum" rule from Maryport.
-
I knew someone in it would likely fit the bill. I admit, that's a slightly sociopathic comment to make...
-
Right, got a Pole. Andrzej Przewoźnik was 46. He gets 61 points.
-
Wlodzimierz Smolarek died aged 54, but the hell am I outing my maths trying to count that one up. 49. Darn it, so close. Mariusz Handzlik came agonizingly close, 43 to an age of 44.

Aha! Got one - from within the last two years, so hopefully contemporary enough - Jules Bianchi! Aged 25, Scrabble 26!
-
Kristen Pfaff equals 27, which was her age when she died? This relies on my (obligatorily rubbish) maths, but, yeah 27 club and unders in music is your best bet. EDIT - Posted at same time as DDT above.

Desmond Carrington and Bernie Portenski so far.

What Ever Happened To?????????
msc replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
That made his ears burn. -
Did occur to me that Ali's not been around in a few weeks, but a quick glance at his last post says he's away on a (presumably well-earned) holiday.
-
Well, someone like me picked Paul McGill, and he doesn't appear to be obiting outside Ireland right now. He's in the Telegraph though!

22/28, with a whole bunch of guesses.
