Thank Christ, I went to post this the first time and it wiped the entire fucking post. Had to rewrite it from memory.

TO KILL A GABOR SISTER* 14/50 18th December 2016 Some said it could never happen. Others said she would laugh in the face of the Reaper, or that her husband was keeping her alive like a mad professor in a Peter Cushing film. But no one can out run Death forever, and so Deadpool Legend (and former actress) Zsa Zsa Gabor has died at the age of 99 to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist it's 14th hit of the year. Gabor was born in Hungary and appeared in the original Moulin Rouge and We're Not Married. Taking the latter title to heart, she was married nine times to nine different men, even outdoing the Liz Taylor record. In recent years, she had suffered a number of health issues, including but not limited to: heart problems, a stroke, comas, pneumonia, blood clots, dementia, amputations, blood on the lungs, water on the lungs, infections, crocodile attacks, and a precision strike by a malicious asteroid on her bedroom. In 2010, she even received the last rites, only to outlive over sixty hits on our sister Deathlist, and even her own daughter in 2015. Zsa Zsa was to be overwhelmingly elected to the top spot in the 2017 list, but decided to skip out a bit early. So long, you may have been a mediocre actress, but your impression of a Terminator was top notch. All eyes (or not) are now on the Crowdsourced's living, as a single hit in the last fortnight of the year will see it beat the Deathlist's personal best in its debut year! *what can I say, I love that DDP team name

Deathlist tends to hit 10 or 12. Think its too late in the year for 12, so none it is.
-
Bloody hell, yeah, Zsa Zsa was top by miles (about 200 points). This'll require the Subs en masse.
-
I was just adding it to the Masterlist. 12 lists in!
-
Stefan Karl had 0 votes at precisely 11am this morning. This is no longer the case.
-
Bloody hell - Dylan, Scorsese, Plant, now George Lucas - you're expecting a right massacre in 2017, Joey!
-
Bowie Prince Cohen Emerson Lake Ah, I'll get back to you on that one...
-
If Dylan announces that, he'll be on my list...my DDP list. Hah. Be foolish to turn down 10 points.
-
And when you hold off, nothing happens. Sods law, really.

Received! We have ten lists in so far, which is ahead of this stage last year. Plenty of time left, however, to get your votes in. The voters so far have had their say about one specific famously dying case, and one other specific entirely famous dying case, by plumping en masse for one and leaving the other flagging in 200th place. As for that actress I had to Google, she's broken the circa 150 point spot, so I'd better start researching Google.

Shameless are returning? That's a shame.

Sandy McDonald might have been a unique here (as those who knew seemed to steer clear on 50/50 grounds) had some idiot not mentioned it on this forum.
-
Oh yes, pancreatic and glioblastomas. One of my short list even has both!
-
Suzanne Wright is basically the perfect unique pick, no? No one else noticed her, she died, and she was younger than expected = 12 points for DI.

Reminds me that when The Sun published that 10 Laziest MPs article, and then unpublished it because it included a woman on maternity leave. John Rentoul said "these lists always include someone dying of cancer", and I'm still to work out who he was referring to, as I can't think of any MPs dying of cancer between December 2013 and May 2015. Casual Politics guy interviewed Kaufman? He's fucked then!

Seen, saved and added to the Masterlist, thanks!
-
Thought he might sneak on the Deathlist given his well publicized adventures in the summer. Now we'll never know, as Adric once said.
-
Oh the list is quite Deathlisty at the moment, barring a half dozen here and there. More so than last years so far, I'd say. Also, as he's dead, and I'll be adding his sub points in early on January 1st, E.R. Braithwaite is in 50th spot as we speak. He wont be qualifying, for obvious reasons. (It's easier to add the sub points in at the end, last year it even added Nobby Stiles onto the list at the expense of...Lupita Tovar! In fact, there was a 9 person race for that single 50th spot, separated by 8 points, and 4 of those who came up short - Peter Vaughan, Maxwell Davies, Tovar and Caroline Aherne - have snuffed it in 2016. Sod's law!)

I did try and ask ITK political friends about Kaufman's absence, but they changed the subject. Either it's nothing...

So with a fortnight to go, a very familiar face has a commanding lead at the top. A world leader of sorts is in 2nd place, and a famous terminally ill person takes the bronze, as it stands. Her I had to Google is still in a creditable 7th place. The aging soap star, on the other hand, is now down in the low 20s. Am as interested in those not getting much traction at the moment (and I don't mean the famous terminally ill, I mean popular old timers round these parts) as much as those surge upstream with big votes. I may even make that part of the reveal: those the forum didn't consider much. Would be useful if one dies in 2017 and certain people go "Oh what a miss for the Deathlist!"

Let's put it this way: you had only 1 unique in your squad in 2016... Only one team in the top ten without a single unique pick. Most of the ones I talked myself out of wouldn't have been unique anyhow. I'm under the impression that Spade's domination of the DDP has forced others to try and raise their game, though.
