Tough to judge on pictures though: otherwise Bobby Heenan, for example, would have been dead years ago.

Chat works? It just takes about 2 minutes to load at this end. It's only really used en masse once a year anyhow.

The very first DDP had a successful hit with a ten year old child. I like to think TMIB and OoO have moved us on considerably since then. A popular 50 year old is now worth the same joker points as a obscure (but not unique) under-30, which is a clear way of trying to address things without bringing the ban-hammer into play. Let's see how that changes things, psychologically, if at all.

Apparently as a tourist, but really the answer to that question is always "because he's Buzz Aldrin".

I'd call Shaun, Toast and the Captain* the early bookies favourites, but anything can happen. Or not. *sounds like the name of a 70s prog rock group

Roger Parent, low key Canadian politician, announced he had cancer last night, and then died this morning. At some point this month, Deathrace candidates will last slightly longer than it takes to have a nap.

Traffic queen of Delhi, Dorris Francis, has advanced stomach cancer.

That is correct, and thanks for doing the time to put that together. YouwantRICEwiththat Ice, I say, ICE! Mebbe the sainted MSC is just very very hungry. Actually, I was! But I'm afraid I misread your name, apologies. Must admit, Ice makes far more sense, come to think on it.

Boy, we really like long term Alzheimer cases, don't we?

We are hoping they will peter out. I thought I was going to go for Sallis, right up to the point I wrote someone else's name down. Good to see him represented. Well, bad too, in a way, I guess...

I'll go Scottish and plump for Winnie Ewing.

It was actually 2004, but yes!

"Shaun of the Dead, who ran many deadpools on popular Deathlist.net..." Could be worse, you could be one of those folk who tried to enter Jimmy Stewart into the DDP in 2003.

Must be related to Joey Freak. Anyhow, I didn't know Glen Michael was still going, but he'll be dead by March now going on previous.

I refer you to the aforementioned 7 seconds in total of glancing around.

Wondered if Zsa Zsa had the longest thread on the Deathlist for an individual. Apparently not, as 7 seconds of research suggests: 1. Richard O'Sullivan 2068 posts 2. Thatcher 1764 3. JImmy Savile 1230 4. Zsa Zsa Gabor 1107 Clearly ROS has probably notched up another ten posts while I type this, but she might catch Thatcher with a bit of effort, a few more hospital stays, etc. And people say we don't have a Deathlist mascot...

If last years C.D. was anything to go by, I would ignore new options instead of nicking them, out of sheer bloody mindedness. Wasn't on my shortlist, so take that, Sir Peter Maxwell Dav...bugger. Besides, there was over 500 names... Gave me great sympathy for the actual Deathlist committee, must admit.

Deathlist Dreaming
msc replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Poor you, I wouldn't wish an erotic dream about Gyles Brandreth on my biggest enemy. -
Hywel Bennett appears opposite Hayley Mills in the 1972 film version of Endless Night. It's also got Britt Ekland as Mills's pal. I knew Agatha Christie saw this film, and hated it, but was thinking to myself: it's fairly faithful to the book, can't see why. Then, right at the end, suddenly all of Britt Ekland's clothes come off! To be honest, should have seen that one coming. Just a random aside.

Cleber Santana, who appears to be one of the dead, is one of the few people I can think of who has scored a winning goal against Barcelona and Real Madrid in the same week, back during a spell at Mallorca about a decade ago.

Ah, a birthday fact then. With the passing of Fidel, we've now reached 70 Deathlist hits, since Zsa Zsa Gabor got the last rites.

Well if you're buying in on those folks you got Lynne Stewart and Sal DiMisi. They don't tend to die due to immediate illness, how long did we wait for Howard Marks? I wish you well my friend.SC Ah, I decided to avoid him in the end (5 years ago), and he's still breathing. As for Marks, 15 months, but then again, by the time of his illness, his jail days were so far behind him, he could appear on BBC game shows. Everyone becomes part of the establishment if they live long enough, I guess. The champion of these cases remains Ernest Saunders though, who was released in 1991 after serving 10 months of a 5 year sentence. He was ruled to have end stage Alzheimer's. He mysteriously made the only documented recovery from Alzheimer's in history, went back to his business work, and is still alive and not demented. The Independent later suggested, euphemistically, that his symptoms had been caused by stress!

I was having the typical First World Deathlister issues. Person A has cancer, but said they were undergoing more tests in November. No news. Person B doesn't mention what type of cancer they actually have. So you know if you pick them, it's the Scott Thorson Stage I ass cancer, and if you don't, its metastatic pancreatic... Not to mention the person who has taken a turn for the worse, but is a dubious obit, and the person who might bring forth the ranters and the "long dark nights of the soul", as TMIB once put it...

I like it. A film about Jimmy Stewart being driven to suicide by being surrounded by arseholes, just like Christmas with the inlaws. The famous coda is somewhat less so, however. If you really want to see it, its on Film Four this Friday.

A film with Rikki Fulton AND Lee Marvin in it? I need to go track this down on the usual sites.
