As an apparent millennial too, I agree on Love Grows and also love Slade. Can't agree with the Spirit in the Sky hate though, it's a hilariously daft song imo. I don't actually mind Grandad or Ernie. Both are simple novelty tracks, inoffensive fluff. The Mungo Jerry dislike really surprises me though. Anyhow this round is quite light next to the horrors of 1972-73 - who was the bigger stain on the charts - Gary Glitter, or the fucking Osmonds? @YoungWillz I'd guess via PM your top 4 picks but last I checked your PM box was full!

It had to be done. (Still fucked off tbh. All of those yewtree sods generate a sense of disdain and dislike, only one felt like a personal betrayal. Rolf can fuck off.)

Comeback starts here. I just wanted to give Spade an, err, 47 point headstart... -
Hah, I thought "judicious editing" but Gary Glitters up there.

Cormac McCarthy NOT DEAD, releasing his first new book in nearly 2 decades. Shades of Harper Lee?

... and an election in a pear tree? -
I don't get where the confusion comes from, his Date of Birth is well known. In fact, here he is in 2020, thanking a friend for wishing him a happy birthday on 22nd November!

Quite a talented and busy director too, line of duty for example. EastEnders kept trying to get her to return as she was very popular but she's adamant her acting days are over.

Liz Truss didn't vote in her own bloody confidence vote. -
Now that's interesting. Deliberately vague 2023 hint.

There's a long proud history of it on this forum, from "Fats Domino looks amazing" (dead within the week), random jokes about New Jack (dead hours later) to the great "Abe Vigoda doing a lot better" post by @Death Impends. Vigoda was announced dead ten minutes later.

When not being shot dead by terrorists, Italian PMs have a solid track record in seeing 90+.

In my lifetime, there have been nearly 1000 David Smith's, 1200 John Smith's and 2000 James Smith's born in Scotland alone! Inane stat for you.

The Opinium MRP thing didn't acknowledge tactical voting. It had high Labour and Lib Dem votes in target seats when likely the non-challenging one there will be squeezed. So their "only 140" Tory MPs (before the polling collapse) was probably kind on current numbers. I quite like the look of the 1993 Canadian elections, myself. -
Well, she was notable, old, had cancer, and is now a unique DDP success!
-
I brought her into the DL conscious, but she's a unique pick for the Dames theme team this year, which isn't me. Another DDP hit brought to you by BBC4, where she said in 2019 that her cancer was an on-going issue.

Forum favourite (for some of us), the don of psephology, Sir David Butler, has made it to his 98th birthday!
-
Hall got out in 2015 - for his birthday in fact. Harris was in jail for about 2 years tops. Gary Glitter is still in jail (he went down for actually raping kids though) though he could be up for parole soon. Freddie Starr told off for being a groper, died. Dave Lee Travis found guilty of one count of groping someone, career ended as a result. Fred Talbot released in 2019. Ray Teret died last year. Bill Roache, Paul Gambaccini, Cliff Richard, Neil Fox, all publicly named as suspects but later cleared. (Roache went to court.)
-
It's not even on his Wiki, it's a "simple Wiki" page. And iirc Hall has been out of jail since 2015 or 2016?

tbh I'm ready to vote these fuckers out ASAP. -
You of all people finding a story about shagging bizarre made me guffaw so loudly I nearly choked on my drink!

Understandable. Whenever I wake up to dozens and dozens of new notifications I think: "Fuck sake, what's TQR said now?"
