Also, the whole marrying someone after living together 40 years. Back on the 2018 list, if he survives 2017, imo.

    Aung San Suu Kyi

Far be it for me to go pedant on a rant, but actually, there were calls that the NHS was a struggle to fund from as early as 1950. It's what led to the Gaitskell "compromise" to introduce dental charges, and led to Nye resigning from the government. Also, there was extreme money shortages in the 1980s, which led to a belief NHS services would be farmed off to private companies, hence, long story short, Maggie Thatchers speech about the NHS being "safe with us".

TMZ seem to report deaths one minute before they happen. They've got the Reaper on retainer.

They are a bunch of cunts. However, so are the Daily Mail, and they're used regularly for reliable deadpooling. The Mirror have picked up the story. The Sun did, last I heard, pay handsomely for "showbiz scoops", so yeah, this (probably) comes from family or inside the hospital.

    Hurricane Irma Death Toll

Tomasz Shakermaker, the BBC weather guy whose name I can't spell at all (from a certain person's Crowdsourced Deathlist entry) has landed in Florida to give live updates on the weather, instead of just giving them from a studio in London... Call of the deadpooling season if it goes wrong for him..

Thought she'd be dead by now. Also assumed she'd have her own thread by now.

    There's still time!!!

A thread rises from the grave!

    Aung San Suu Kyi

That implies she has power in the first place, of course.

    The Deathlist Howto

I don't give a toss about polls tbh (I can just ignore those), but yes, the sweepstakes are annoying.

Biggest Australian death of the year, then.

    Ian St John

Well, an update of sorts - he was unable to return to his weekly football radio show this season with Ian Snodin. Could be bored, of course.

    George Bush Senior

Obviously Bush looks a bit on his last legs, but Clinton looked a bit done in too. Bush Jr is 71 now, though, and short of cancer, doesn't look like he'll be troubling us for many many years yet. In a deadpooling sense of course. I'm sure he gave a lot of people trouble during the years 2001 to 2008!

    Academic Footnotes

One of my friends was the foremost authority in the UK on their particular subject, and when he died, it came to me to write a few lines in way of obit. Not only did the main newspapers skip him over, but so did his own university. It is a great relief that, according to Wiki user BarrelProof, the dude must be still alive somewhere!

Hey, nice to see El Pais, and the Azeri consulate, are also considered atrocious sources by Wiki.

Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

Though the idea of him going "fuck NBA, I'm off to Serie A" did raise a chuckle.

Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

Did a double take at "Udinese" before googling to find they actually had a basketball team at one point.

    British Science Fiction Series

Speaking of old luvvies, what's Peter Wyngarde up to these days? Now there was a fun actor. Always reminds me of Spinal Tap's "these go to 11" in terms of OTT-ness. And another thing - I was watching an episode of Taggart on one of the freeview channels the other night. One of the shite ones, but anyhow, do you know who turned up as a villain? Jill Gascoine? You can't escape the Deathlist these days.
