Philip Gould died aged 60 of cancer too - the Blair associate. Stephen Gould the scientist died aged 50-ish, can't mind if it were cancer.

Freddie Jones is still going at near 90 as we've mentioned before, but apparently so is Sheila Steafel (born 1935).

Well, it is a kids show, Handrejka, so depends when you first saw it? Also, not everyone need like the same stuff. I hear some poor souls don't like Dr Who...
  11. SEE YA, CLEGGY! 11/50 5th June 2017 Actor Peter Sallis has died aged 96, to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. Sallis was perhaps best known to TV audiences for his role as world weary philosopher Norman Clegg in the BBC smash sitcom Last of the Summer Wine. As the straight man to the comedy hi-jinks of the late Bill Owen and Brian Wilde (and others), Sallis was the only constant to appear in every single episode of the sitcom, over a period of 40 years. He had made a name for himself in the 1950s and 1960s playing Norman Clegg like parts (notably in the Doctor Who story The Ice Warriors, introducing the eponymous monsters), so it was perhaps no surprise that he was seen as the best man for the job. Especially when he showed up at the audition wearing the perfect Norman Clegg outfit, which he'd picked out of his own wardrobe. He also frequently had to stop fights between co-stars Owen and Wilde, despite the fact that Sallis himself would rather avoid conflict and just have a nice cup of hot chocolate instead: a world philosophy this host can agree with. Outside Holmfirth, Sallis obtained a whole new younger worldwide generation of fans as the voice of Wallace from the Wallace and Gromit cartoon series. Sallis was appearing in 4th place on the list, and is the 11th hit in only the first half of 2017.

    General Election Game

300 votes between SNP and Tory, actually, Lib Dems distant 3rd. Get the impression you're mixing it up with another former Lib Dem Scottish seat - East Dunbartonshire, perhaps? Bit late in the day now, I know, was just curious.

    I Miss Badegg

50s I'm guessing - given he was traveling to Scotland a few years back. Can't mind if that was for work. Hmm. Any of those Scottish posters suddenly post more since MH went? I don't mean me, before any cheeky sods reply.

    Kirk Douglas

Fatty Arbuckle was innocent, though. Err, not to imply Kirk isn't. I haven't a clue about him. But Arbuckle was definitely smeared upon. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh though, are both safely long dead, so it's entirely fine to mention that she accused him of impropriety.

I'm more shocked that Berwickshire is, probably, one of the most likely SNP seats to go Tory, and Shaun's given it to the Liberals!

It's been a meme for decades, practically.
  23. It's only been a year? Here's the thing to remember, though, Joey: there's lots of shit posts on the internet. Even this forum. Especially this forum. Especially from me. The best thing to do is to not worry about it. Canute vs the sea, there. You've lasted a year without being banned or telling someone to kill themselves, you'll be fine... (That H20 joke was absolutely dire, mind you...)

    General Non School Massacre Thread

It's as if those police and intelligence cuts during the past seven years were an error or something. Luckily, the Home Secretary in charge of much of this has been moved to a job in which they can do less damag...
