Likely returnees weren't folk I *want* on the list, it's just they always seem to come back time and again like Committee favourites, so I expect to see several of them in 2017.

We can also safely guess that de Haivlland, Graham, Wouk, de Cuellar, Douglas, Sallis, Prince Philip, Clive James, Joost, Bush Sr, Vera Lynn and Jake Lamotta will keep their usual spots. Then we have folk are clearly tottering or ill enough to warrant a return: Leslie Philips, Glen Campbell, Desmond Tutu, Bruce Forsyth and Jacques Chirac, imo. 95 is fine innings, and she outlived her TV granddaughter. So, we've never had an 11/50 year, so that suggests there's one more hit in the year.
