Former Maldivian President Ibrahim Nasir, who was mentioned on the ideas thread earlier in the year, has died. He was going to be on my DDP team next year, so I hope he gets a UK obit.

Tassos Papadopoulos, former President of Cyprus, has been flown to an American clinic after experiencing "back pains". It does seem rather a long way to travel to get an aching back treated... -
Daily Telegraph obit for Lady Bliss. Well done - I see she was your joker and a unique pick. And she's got a porn star name if you take Gertrude out of the equation.

Ideas And Possibilities For 2009

If this report is true why weren't the full details and nature of the baby's injuries revealed in the mainstream media? Was there some editorial judgement that members of the public could not stomach the details? I'm still not sure why the names weren't published. The names of the offenders weren't published as the guilty trio are supposed to be going on trial next year for the abuse of Baby P's sibling, who survived their attentions. However the leak of their names in to the public domain may be seen as prejudicial to a future trial, as well as compromising the identity of the child who lived. -

Are munchkins more or less at risk from cannibals than normally sized people? Do cannibals turn their noses up at munckins because they're not exactly a generous helping? Or perhaps they target munchkins for light snacks or if they're on a diet? I need some help with this conundrum. I've been wrangling over it for hours. -
Alain Robert AKA Spider-Man
DevonDeathTrip replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
Alain Robert has just scaled a 33-story building in Indonesia and next month he's off to Qatar to climb La Cigale Hotel So he's still as busy as ever, slightly older and therefore possibly slightly weaker. There is a very reasonable chance his fatal slip might come in 2009 and he should be included on next year's DL. -

Couldn't you have kept this between ourselves? Seriously though, a decent punt (9 points for age + 3 for suicide).... Assisted suicides? This is scraping the barrel. Common OoO, start acting like a mod and moderate your DDP to rule against this group. This isn't low hanging fruit, it's rotting apples. I can't play a game with this poor chap. His choice is an interesting debate for the forum but surely this shouldn't be the stuff of DDP points. I'm sure the Pausch estate would be relieved to know that you would turn your nose up at the likes of Mr Martin, Godot... Quite right TMIB. Godot should focus his energies on selecting more mega stars like Jeff Healey and, er, Nigel Plews. I'd consider picking him, but I don't think this chap will be able to walk the walk as well as he can talk the talk... -

Serial killer Arthur Shawcross, who was serving life in prison for strangling and mutilating 11 women in New York State, has died at the age of 63. He was quite partial to eating human flesh and spoke expansively on the topic when he was interviewed for a Channel 4 documentary a few years ago. Meanwhile, in Brazil, a woman has died on the way to a cemetery when a traffic accident hurled her husband's coffin against the back of her neck.
