Very impressive. Praise be upon you. There's only one thing that works with psy-trance and that's Bovril. -

Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists
DevonDeathTrip replied to Stayin Alive's topic in DeathList Forum
Major General Francis Nyangweso, the head of Uganda's Olympic Committee has spent most of his time in Beijing critically ill in hospital. He's now about to be flown home - he suffers from cancer, diabetes and heart problems. He hasn't missed much action from his countrymen, they've yet to win a medal. One of his many previous jobs was Army Chief of Staff during Idi Amin's time in power. Moving on, here's the Population Adjusted Olympic Medal Table, good to see Mongolia doing better than Britain. -

It's worse than that. He's dead, Octopus. Hmm, the headline currently reads: "Zambia denies President Mwanawasa is dead", and the story says he's fine, resting up nicely in bed, etc. Too bad it's not 31 December, because this would be some low-hanging (and apparently quite rotten) fruit for DL pickers. Never heard of him. It's the week for ridiculous African leader's names, as President Omar Bongo of Gabon made news when he defended President Mugabe's triumphant election win. someone should beat him like a drum Well, he was dead when I posted. Quite a remarkable recovery really. Actually, if he is still going, it's good news. Mwanawasa is one of Africa's better leaders. Levy Mwanawasa, has undergone more surgery today after a rapid deterioration in his health. -

Try putting a little bromide in your tea, that should help. Welcome back, btw. -

Here's to you, Ronnie Drew. Well done to the teams who picked him on the DDP

Nice one, The Unknown Man scores points with a pick a few of us have never heard of. This means i must be in the lead then. The Unknown Man, have you ever thought of taking the plunge and actually joining DL? You'd still be the unknown man and you could have a nicely mysterious avatar. And you could vote in polls.

I was listening to Radio 5 in the middle of the night, as you do, when I heard an interview with Dick Fosbury, he of the eponymous flop. He mentioned that he'd been treated for lymphoma and had a tumour on his spine removed a while ago. He sounded very hale and hearty, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. -
Sandy Allen, the world's second tallest woman, has died at the age of 53. I looked up to her.

Here's a recipe for Isaac Hayes' "Deep Fried Jive Turkey". I can't imagine a whole turkey fried in five gallons of peanut oil would have done his heart much good, even if he only ate it once.
