You obviously have an extremely short memory. I will always stand up to bigotry and strongly object to you implying otherwise. You might also want to consider that the membership of this forum is made up of a diverse range of views and what may constitute 'fun' for you isn't necessarily 'fun' for everybody else. I totally accept the administration of this site isn't going to please everyone, but ultimately the forum is bigger than some of the enormous egos who inhabit it and isn't going to 'die' if we very occasionally nip in and delete the output of a previously banned psychopath. -
Is that Jerry Garcia top right?

Deathers set up his alternative site. Perhaps that would be a suitable refuge for you to hurl insults at each other? -
Pfizer are reportedly developing a single pill cure for covid 19, which could potentially cure colds as well. Taking the long view, might the costs saved as a result of this happening eventually mitigate the (financial) cost of covid?

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Just finished reading Christopher Josiffe's excellent investigation into Gef, a Manx speaking mongoose who apparently turned up at a remote Isle of Man farm in the mid 1930s. -

My son wants to know the odds of the Queen remarrying, but none of the regular bookmakers seem to be offering quotes. -
Can @Bibliogryphon have 0.375 'nearly' points or something?

I've realised that I was reading news reports from 2020 when considering Tim Keller, American pastor and theologian for my squad. Since then he has apparently made a miraculous recovery from his pancreatic cancer. In cup terms, it feels like he's got a red card

I take it now wouldn't be an appropriate moment to set up a Tinder profile for 'Lizzy, 94, Windsor' ? -
On his weather show today David Lynch paid tribute to Twin Peaks actor Walter Olkewicz, who played Jacques Renault. I watch Lynch's forecast every day because it makes me happy.

Swiss theologian and priest Father Hans Küng, 93. A seriously big cheese in modern day Catholicism; he was an early promoter of inter-faith dialogue and also caused a stir when he challenged the notion of Papal infallibility.

Some good potential for the Scrabble thread in the posts above, however none of the deceased poets make the final cut.

I saw a wallaby bound past me at 6am this morning while I was out exercising. Not sure what it's plans for the day were, but it was bouncing purposely towards Holsworthy, so I didn't interfere.

@Annami well played, 9 points would normally be enough to get through to the next round so bad luck. Really hope you stick around in DL and have another go next year

Great interview on Radio 4 this morning with pioneering climber and author Gwen Moffat, 96, who is still healthy enough to go hill walking - "but nothing more than 1500 feet". -
Iona Opie's 75% may take some beating though.

An incredibly rare thing happened in England's match against the mighty San Marino tonight - a Devonian, Ollie Watkins, formerly an Exeter City player, managed to score. I believe he is only the third Devon born player to score for England in the last one hundred years, after Cliff Bastin and Trevor Francis.

Let me know what you'd like it changed to and I'll sort it. I'd like to be remembered for something creative which will outlive me; art, music, literature, etc. All I need to do is use the time I have left to produce the body of work to which secures my legacy. (I'm not sure winning deadpools really counts). -
That's beautiful. I've got a good feeling I might get at least one more hit this year.
