    Baseball

George Steinbrenner III, one of the most powerful men in baseball and owner of the New York Yankees, is now a befuddled, bloated old man in "dreadful" shape American Deathlisters, how does The New York Post rank as a news source? It's style does seem a bit similar to the National Enquirer.

Tul Bahadar Pun, 84, holder of the Victoria Cross, is critically ill after suffering a stroke. He also suffers from heart problems and diabetes. He is one of only twelve living recipients of this country's highest award for valour and will certainly get a UK obit. His VC citation can be found on his Wiki page. It will take a lot to kill this man.

Nick Du Toit / Simon Mann / Mark Thatcher

The Daily Express think that Simon Mann is "Set To Go Free" Having read the article, I am not sure how they arrived at this conclusion.

    Old Folkies Home

The aforementioned Tommy Makem, who some discerning deadpoolers have picked for the DDP ( ), isn't doing too well. He's been too unwell to preform at some recent concerts, upon investigation I have found that his lung cancer has spread to his liver. The end is surely nigh. And I can't see Tommy Makem lasting much longer either.

    Chris Langham

It's been at least 24 hours since Harvester of Souls logged on to remind us how much he hates peadophiles. I can therefore only deduce that he must have changed his mind about them and come to the conclusion that they are all jolly decent chaps after all.

    Greatest Deaths Ever

Going back a few years, but the mysterious hunting accident that put an end to the life of King William II in 1100 must be one the greatest deaths ever on British soil. I suppose a comparable modern day scenario would be if The Queen's head was blown off during a pheasant shoot.

    Football

A very well done to Iraq for winning the Asian Cup. The whole nation has put the war on hold to celebrate their 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia. It does look as if the good citizens of Baghdad have got a little carried away with their celebrations this evening
