    Dementia afflicted footballers

I have given this some thought over a cup of tea and a biscuit (garibaldi). I think this thread is fine and I see no reason to merge it with anything. I'm just pleased to have the great Octopus posting regularly again, I trust his judgement and am not about to start moderating his input (unless he PMs half the forum with p0rn and calls them ****s), even then I'd probably ask him nicely not to do it again. I don't want to sound dismissive, but the energy we expend on this forum squabbling about thread etiquette could possibly power a small town for a fortnight. Should we not be asking ourselves how we might harness this energy in a more constructive way?

    The Archers

Great to hear the indestructible June Spencer back on The Archers tonight after a 9-month covid-19 enforced absence. 101 years old and still lighting up the show.

Back on his bike! Apparently Jakobsen broke every bone in his face and lost all but one of his teeth in the crash.

    Fascinating Creatures - Squids

Some rare footage of the bigfin squid. (This thread seems to have sunk to great depths - aptly, rather like a squid - so I just thought I'd bring it to the surface to ensure newer members are aware of it's existence, should they need to talk about cephalopods at any point)

  15. In other news, Oregon has voted to decriminalise heroin. Maybe they're going to start opioid holidays for Americans unable to deal with the predicament in which they now find themselves. Trump or Biden, anarchy will prevail in the end .

    Boris Johnson

He's giving a live briefing right now and sounds rather breathless IMO. He handed over to health expert rather hastily too. On now on R4 (and possibly on some news channels, for those who prefer TV).

I think, of all the research exercises ever undertaken on these forums, this thread is by far the most monumental effort. I've enjoyed reading all of it. Much respect @Ulitzer95.
