If he doesn't get a press mention when he goes, I'm going to do some serious lobbying. I'll contact the BBC, The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Independent pretending to be "Doug, a bereft Wallis Islander currently living in, er, Sunderland"

The BBC reports that Don Cameron, owner of the world's biggest hot air balloon company, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Speaking on his chances of survival (about 80%) he says: "Although that is still more dangerous than Russian Roulette, it is better than I had feared."

I rather hoping that The King Of Wallis, Tomasi Kulimoetoke might beat boring Barzan al-Tikriti in the race for the first HDP points of the year. This article suggests he is on the way out. However, I am a little nervous about his prospects of a UK or US obit. The population of Wallis is about half the size of a small English town.

Whilst well known for his opera singing, Pavarotti's death metal contributions have often been overlooked.

Martina Navratilova gets involved with two gay sheep.

I find it very reassuring that 7 of my picks were also selected by Football Fan. I simply can't understand why nobody has selected Nick Du Toit (again )
-
It has!! I missed out Pavarotti.

He has previously been mentioned on the BBC website as well, so I am sure that he will get a UK obit. I was going to have Yahweh Ben Yahweh, but I think he'll struggle to get a UK obit as I can't find any mention of him by the BBC or a UK newspaper. I picked him, the Guardian will give him his dues. Here is my team, The Living End: Nick Du Toit Patriarch Maxim of Bulgaria Steve Prescott Jesus Polanco Tommy Makem Hilly Kristal Ayatollah Ali Meshkini Janez Drnovsek Tammy Faye Messner Yaweh Ben Yaweh Lee Hazelwood Fidel Castro Abu Hamza al-Muhajir Shih Ming Teh Girija Prasad Koirala Lansana Conte Amrozi bin Nurhasyim (joker) Ali Ghufron aka Mukhlas Iman Sumudra

Thus spake Windsor (who has just scored 5 DDP points with the execution of Saddam Hussain )

I did pick Jo5ie Gr0ve but not as my joker. Didn't pick Sharon or Castro, but did pick those same Indonesian chaps as you DDT. Good thinking Tempus, I picked one as my joker. I was rather hoping they'd be unique picks...

Happy new year everyone. I'm going back to bed. Between other refreshments, I drank a yard of ale last night, finished 3rd out of 21 in our village's annual speed drinking competition. The thrill of success in only fleeting, the hangover lasts all day.

I can't remember exactly who I picked, I submitted my team on Dec 14th (I'm a bit obsessive about getting homework in early.) Nick Du Toit is in the team again, but not as my joker, I do hope is isn't a unique pick. I didn't choose Jo5ie Gr0ve, Saddam was my substititute and Barzan is already on my CPDP team, so I didn't bother picking him again. Picks 18,19 and 20 MAY get me a grand total of 44 points when they are shot at dawn one fine Indonesian morning.

That puts me on six hits for the year. I can't work it out but I think I might sneak in to the top 30. I am quite happy with that result, considering none of my picks had the good grace to die until June, four have died since the November 17th and two of those were after Christmas. I can only hope that my joker, Nick Du Toit, is on the wrong end of a good kicking from his sadistic prison guards by midnight tomorrow. That would put me in the top ten.

The former West German footballer, Helmut Haller was in intensive care after a heart attack. The 67-year-old, who scored the opening goal in the 1966 World Cup final against England at Wembley, is in a serious condition. "I am very worried," his son Jurgen told journalists. "My father is not very well at all."

English Cricket umpire, Mark Benson is in intensive care in South Africa, after suffering heart palpitations whilst umpiring the second test between India and South Africa.

Gerald Ford might have died a lot earlier, were in not for the brave actions of Oliver Sipple, who prevented an assassination attempt on the President in 1975. In saving Ford's life, Sipple ultimately paid with his own. Just thought I'd give him a mention.

Trouble sitting as well then. A much earlier Carter thread is located here, http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1430 ah - didnt see that... no i dont think you can die of hemorrhoids, but i think you can from pancreatic cancer [Topics merged -- MH] People who suffer from hemorrhoids really should keep their ointment in a different cupboard to their Deep Heat cream, the consequences applying the wrong cream could be truly terrible.

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
DevonDeathTrip replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'm going off Christmas. Each year the consumer is consumed by the beast. -
If Nancy Dell'Olio dumped Sven, ran off with Lawrence Dallaglio and got married, she could change her name to Nancy Dell'Olio-Dallaglio. A very fine name indeed methinks.

Isn't there a recipe for making home brewed beer in the bible?

David Irving's twin brother, John, is a Halibut convert and the Chairman of the Wiltshire Commission for Racial Equality. He is also believed to be Britain's only Halibut pig farmer.

NASCAR driver and team owner Bobby Hamilton said Wednesday his doctors say there are still cancer cells on the right side of his neck and that he is continuing treatments.

So? Are you indicating that he may well be on his way to the big house? {Casa Grande=House Big/Big House} If so, then so state it. You obviously aren't the brightest light on the Christmas tree!! I would invite you to draw your own conclusions from the my previous posting. The fact that I have mentioned that he is in intensive care with heart problems in a thread called 'Ideas and Possibilities for 2007' makes it clear enough, I would have thought.
