  1. Surprised Pete Buttigieg hasn't been discussed more. I voted for him and he appears to have done well in the Iowa caucuses.

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

Nicotine free since Thursday evening and it's been hell so far. Just been searching this forum for 'lung cancer' which has sort of helped in a cathartic way.

    Ebola and Other Viruses

Yes, agreed. Threads merged. Although if we get a proper Black Death style apocalypse event, I reserve the right to open a new one.

    Yes, he's gone https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51278023

    Kobe Bryant

I'll leave it to your excellent judgement and taste. I understand the late Mr Bryant had previously experienced some difficulties relating to the use of his, er, chopper, hence my original choice.

    Kobe Bryant

Would "more chopper trouble" be a wildly inappropriate subheading for this thread?

    Kobe Bryant

Wow, even I've heard of Kobe Bryant. So famous, he now has his own thread.

    Minimalists (and other classical composers/musicians)

Actually, I really have seen Sykes' band Joglaresa live in concert. Damned if I can remember which festival it was though, but they weren't a great choice after consuming vast amounts of drugs.

When will Harry and meghan divorce if at all?

Call me a romantic old fool, but I think they'll live happily ever after.

    Dead Drummers

I like Rush as well, but didn't know Peart was ill. Agree he was right up there with the best of drummers. I also liked it how he had an electric xylophone as part if his drum kit setup.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

Slightly concerned I won't have any unique picks this year. Obscure actress Sally Sheridan is my only hope. I thought she was a Bond girl, but actually her credit in On Her Majesty's Secret Service is just 'girl'!
  22. Completely wrong and a particularly unpleasant thing to say. Tanni Grey-Thompson is a household name in the UK and one of the finest athletes our country has ever produced. She just happens to use a wheelchair.
