Once, after consuming the best part of a bottle of tequila and some other sundries, I took it upon myself to go and watch Bodger and Badger in the theatre tent at Glastonbury. An experience never to be forgotten. RIP Andy Cunningham, a very great man who truly found his calling in badger puppetry.

BBC news reporting that people have been mown down by a van on London Bridge... -
Congratulations Deadsox, the better team went through. Well done MSC, a great competition and I hope you do it again next year. Maybe TMIB could give The Cup a plug at the end of the year on the DDP homepage...then you might be able to start the 2018 tournament with 256 teams. That would make winning a league and cup double a bit like deadpooling nirvana.

Change 1849 to 1984 and when York Minster Cathedral caught fire, there were still people claiming it was an act of God.

Someone posted on the Urban75 forums today that veteran British nationalist Martin Webster is seriously ill with heart problems. The post was promptly deleted, probably because the poster claimed to be a hospital employee and gave away enough information to make potentially make him identifiable. Webster would definitely get an obit, he was a very prominent figure when support for the National Front peaked in the 1970s.

Always thought her duet with ELO, Xanadu, would have sounded great if covered by a speedcore punk band. Average survival of bone metastases in breast cancer is about fourteen months - and that's if the patient opts for radiotherapy.

Academic with Alzheimer's, Alex Pandolfo tells the Mail on Sunday he's off to Dignitas to end his life. He originally planned to go at the end of next year, but is considering going earlier due to the deterioration in his condition.

Hard luck MPFC. Just back from the match and adjusting my calendar for a trip to Wembley

Not the only one SC. A sad loss, although drumming for the band surely can't have been the most taxing of gigs. Also, Opal, the precursor to Mazzy Star were pretty damned good.

The Death List 1988?A great mystery.

I think I remember something in chat many moons ago, that Welshman, one of the original Deathlisters, thought the 1988 list was somewhere in his attic. -
I thought the next update on Anna Raccoon/Susanne Cameron-Blackie would be to announce her death. But no, she's standing for Parliament instead...

As a fellow procrastinator, I can highly recommend this TED talk on the subject. The Panic Monster and I go back a long way.

Drummer Max Weinberg has had prostate cancer and heart problems in the past. Mind, he's still capable of thumping the tubs for hours at a time behind The Boss, so unlikely to be keeling over for a while. Garry Tallent (bass) looks ridiculously healthy for a man approaching 70. @Toast, do you know if the band have indulged in drugs over the years? -
I'll get a team in at about 2359hrs as per normal. I'm seriously considering going for the Diana Rots/blatant stealing approach this time around....in fact I could just copy and paste Radguy's team and present it as my own

The Sun's longtime boxing correspondent Colin Hart sounded very unwell indeed when he gave his views about Anthony Joshu on Radio 4's news at 10 tonight. I like to think I'm quite good at working out who might not have long to live based on how they sound and Hart definitely sounded like he was on borrowed time.

Can a helpful Deathlister tell me where online I can watch the new series of The Deadliest Catch? It used to be promptly uploaded on Youtube, but the powers that be seem to have clamped down on that sort of thing now. I did find one dodgy site which had it, but was then bombarded with adverts for Russian porn and Muslim dating.

Thanks for the update. Sister Wendy has been lying low recently, so it's nice to see she's still keeping busy.

Next you'll be telling me the obituaries section of the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home isn't a valid news source.

According to Legacy, com, apparently Susan Stros had an obit/death notice in today's Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

I do like this competition. I've just looked up my team and I've already forgotten who five of them are, so had a few minutes fun Googling them all over again. @RadGuy you might get to beat me yet, twelve days is a long time for some of your team to live.

Or not? I'm pretty confident he wouldn't allow himself to be taken alive, as it would set a dreadful example to his troops. -
A chef who I don't think has been mentioned on DL before is Japanese sushi maestro Jiro Ono, 91. He'd definitely obit but probably isn't going anywhere soon, as he's still preparing and dishing up his wares in person at his Tokyo restaurant. Ono was the star of the critically acclaimed documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

Hi RA, I need points for Bruce Langhorne please. That's both my subs gone, meanwhile the nuns and priests who make up my main squad all look like they'll be in contention for a spot in my 2018 team. Damned hard to kill off, these religious types.
