    Quiz Time

Me neither. I got 4/20. I think I might get 20/20 in a deceased Archers character photo quiz...

    Academy Award Winners

I'd quite like to see Cimino's epic flop Heaven's Gate one day, just to see if it really is that bad.

    Political Frailty

Still alive and still rabble rousing. I'm not really for anarchy, but do subscribe to lots of lefty email newsletters and Martin Wright's name popped up in the last missive I received, with him making some quite pertinent points about the Brexit. I find it hard to argue with much of this, tbh

    The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey

I'm more hopeful, now that Boris has dropped out of the race. And it was a big bet.

How so many people in the UK think democracy is great, until things don't go their way.

    The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey

Ah, good times. Nothing like a bit of chaos and confusion to blow the cobwebs away.

    The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey

In January I bet money on Teresa May becoming PM by the end of the year at odds of 11/1. I'm quite hopeful about my chances.

    The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey

I was hoping Peter Snow might make an appearance on the BBC tonight. Thinking about it, I haven't seen him on TV for a while, so perhaps someone to keep tabs on?

    The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey

Extremely reluctantly voting remain. I think we're screwed either way.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

Wendy Leigh, 65, celebrity biographer and former lover of Robert Maxwell, reportedly by suicide via her London apartment balcony.

    Political Frailty

Regarding the death of Jo Cox, this article by favourite blogger, 'Anna Raccoon', pretty much sums up my feelings. BTW 'Anna Raccoon' is very unwell with cancer, but I'm not sure she'd get the required obit and I don't know what her real name is anyway.

    Derby Dead Pool 2016

Have to admit I'm baffled Langhorne is still hanging on. It's a marathon and not a sprint and he's still a goner, but I didn't think late-December language like "in hospice care awaiting the inevitable, knowing his days are numbered" would've been indicative of someone getting anywhere near June. Instead, he's outlasted 12 others in my squad! I'm so jealous of that pick. I posted on DL that he was ill in about 2007 and kept an eye on his health for years afterwards, before forgetting all about him. I even bought a bottle of his chili sauce.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria is currently in hospital in London, either suffering from an ear infection, or having being diagnosed with brain cancer, according to wildly conflicting reports in the Nigerian press.

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

And there was us thinking you were going to be the Jochen Rindt of the DDP. wb. M.T. Graves who won the 2000 DDP managed to do it posthumously. Not a feat I plan to emulate (for several decades anyway.)

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

I'm not very good at posting about personal stuff, but I'd just like to say how nice it is to be back posting again. The last few months have been extremely challenging for various reasons, but things are looking much brighter now, so looking forward to catching up with all things death related. Oh and I'm STILL leading the DDP, which is a nice surprise! :-)

American jazz and blues singer, Candye Kane, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Goodbye Candye?

    Derby Dead Pool 2016

As I'm passing by.... I don't think I'm going to win the DDP this year, but by being in front just for a short time, that means I've now led the DDP in seven out of the last nine years - 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016 - which is a record I think might take some beating. I don't think the high total of A list celebs carking it has much to do with the DDP death toll; we're all just getting better at it.

Foreign Personalities, From Stage, Screen, Politics And Life

Italian experimental performer Raphael Schumacher, 27, is currently in a coma, having experienced oxygen deprivation when a hanging scene he attempted was overshadowed by some technical difficulties in the all important noose area.

Windsor, I'm sure you picked Josie Grove on the DDP once. Would you do the same thing again?
