I think we can kill him off now. I wonder if this might have longer term well-being implications for Mr Putin. Someone will want to avenge this and I suspect Prigozhin would have given the matter some thought in recent weeks.

@Sean So sorry, I was trying to answer your post but I accidentally deleted it. Elizabeth mentioned Lewis in passing about a year ago, so I think he was still living (silently) in an annexe to Ambridge Hall.

Your post has been reported as offensive and I agree. Be careful as you're currently skating on quite thin ice. -

I'd have hired the North Korean newsreader to ensure the occasion was given sufficient gravitas.

Sam Cutler dead. I think he might get some proper broadsheet QOs in the fullness of time. Quite sad about this, he was always happy to engage with anyone who had questions.

Well, hopefully Jeremy Vine will be sleeping better now. No more Huw Edwards arse photos please. I've hidden a few posts.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Soul singer Aretha Franklin on Thursday canceled all of her appearances until next spring on the orders of doctors. Franklin, 68, the "Queen of Soul" who famously sang at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009, pulled out of all concert and personal appearances "at the insistence" of her doctors until May 2011, her publicist said. The decision comes on the heels of the multiple Grammy winner being released from a Detroit hospital on October 30th, where she had admitted for undisclosed reasons. "The award winning songstress sends her sincerest apologies to her loyal followers and colleagues for the canceled shows," the statement read. "Ms. Franklin is resting comfortably at home, but is very anxious to get back on the road to perform for her countless fans around the world," it added. In August, Franklin canceled two concerts after suffering a fall that left her with a couple of broken ribs...

Not many details yet, but there has been a serious crash in today's stage of the Tour de Suisse involving Gino Mader and Magnus Sheffield. The crash occurred during a fast descent of an Alp and Mader has been helicoptered to hospital. Edit - some tweets suggesting that Mader was being resuscitated before being carried to the helicopter...

Just to add some local knowledge about Fiennes - he is an appallingly bad driver, with a penchant for wreckless speeding and suicidal overtaking maneuvers on blind bends. He has also been previously fined for "a momentary lapse of consciousness" at the wheel.

That's a really bad diagnosis. Survival rates for CNS leukemia are poor. Definitely one to consider for next year.
