Predict Your Own Death.....
DevonDeathTrip replied to Merlin1935's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
If karma exists, I'll be dying of a nasty form of cancer at a relatively young age to atone for my years of competitive deadpooling. I also think that I'll have a better idea of how long I'll survive than the doctor who gives me the diagnosis. -

Portuguese thief Igor Dantas, better known as Spiderman due to his habit of climbing tall buildings and robbing unsuspecting apartment dwellers, has to his death after losing his grip at a crucial moment. Footage of the fatal fall occurring is available online, for those of a more ghoulish disposition. -
I was a member of a long defunct Yahoo group about Polynesian Islands, and found this site as other members were most unhappy about the King of Tonga thread, particularly Josco's "fat old bugger" comment.

^ Brain , liver or bone secondaries I reckon. The first two would finish him off this year. -

Jim Ed Brown got the all clear from cancer a couple of months ago, however the disease has now returned. -
When the summer and winter Olympics are merged in real life, I'd be happy to do the same with these threads.

The new MP is older than the previous one? I'm guessing that because of the amount of Scottish seats listed - some of the new SNP MPs aren't exactly in the flush of youth. (I'll get a team in by the end of June btw)

The Telegraph's obituaries are usually pretty respectful in their tone and follow a general policy of not referring to the subject's sexuality, if that person hadn't talked about it publicly while alive. At the same time they make it pretty obvious by acknowledging the "companion", "personal mainstay", "close friend", etc of the deceased individual. One notable instance of a complete lack of respect came from Nigel Short, the chess player, who wrote an obituary for Britain's first grandmaster, Tony Miles in 2001 and thought it appropriate to mention that: Classy guy.

Non terminally ill man resorts to crowd-funding in bid to raise cash for trip to Dignitas. He's asking for £30,000, which does seem rather a lot for a one way ticket to Switzerland. For that amount of money, he could probably hire a contract killer to see him off in the comfort of his own home.

I think today's news will provide more than enough chance to assess Chucky's current health state. Still facing 15 years inside, despite snitching. Chuck knows what's going on.

I quite liked this interview with Art Garfunkel, who appears to be becoming increasingly eccentric as the years go by.

Yay, player of the month! I think I've had 95 DDP hits since 2006. I was hoping to notch up the century this year, but that might be a few steps too far when I look at the rude health of some of my squad. Edit: Actually, scrap that, I'm on 92 not out, so I'll definitely have to wait until next year.

This made me think of Tom Leppard, who may also be a good deadpool pick. He'd definitely get an obit. After spending twenty eight years in the armed forces, Mr Leppard made the unusual career move of having his entire body tattooed with leopard spots, whereupon he moved to a remote part of the Isle of Skye and spent the next two decades wearing a loin cloth and living in a cave. He retired from this lifestyle a few years ago and now lives in more conventional dwellings on the island.
