Entrepreneurial nonagenarian Sharlotte Hydorn is surely worth a mention here. Sales of her do-it-yourself asphyxiation kits are booming after a suicidal Oregonian customer sparked a national debate when he used one of her products to good effect recently.

Misch is looking absolutely fit as a fiddle on the BBC today. Sprightly and lucid as a 92 year old deadpool candidate oughtn't to be. There's another 10 years in him at least, barring assassination or accident. An ailing Rochus Misch has given his last interview to the press. .”

She is dead. She featured on various deadpools of mine down the years, but, when it really mattered, I dropped the dead donkey lady.

Edit - Also, although I have no links to back this up, I am reliably informed that Norma's brother and fellow folkie Mike Waterson underwent chemotherapy for cancer last year. I don't know what sort of cancer it was, or if he has recovered or not. On Radio 2's folk show tonight, Martin Carthy spoke about the health of his wife, Norma Waterson and his brother in law, Mike Waterson. Norma is making a gradual recovery from her bout of septicemia although she is still in hospital. However he revealed Mike Waterson has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b010xyjz (Health discussion is at 23 minutes, if you can't face a whole hour of hardcore folk)

Shailendra Kumar Upadhyaya, 82, the former Nepalese Foreign Minister, has died during his attempt to become the oldest person to climb Everest. He was trying to raise awareness about the capabilities of elderly people, but, by failing in his mission, may have unwittingly highlighted one or two flaws in his argument. -

Independent obituary for Elvis Gordon. (scroll to bottom of page) From what I've read about him, he was a very well liked and respected man. Unusually, no one seemed to have a bad word to say about him. Apparently he was a nightclub doorman as well as a judo champ, a job I can only imagine he excelled at. Nice youtube tribute to him , he didn't half move quickly for someone who was 23 stone. -
I suppose there's still enough bunting left for another street party. Lots of Twitter posts suggesting she is gravely ill and might not last the night.

A unique pick for the Living End... Who would have guessed. RIP. -
Garret Fitzgerald, twice Prime Minister of Ireland in the 1980s, is gravely ill. He might struggle to see the weekend, let alone 2012.

On this day in 2001 Bonny Lee Bakley was shot dead in Los Angeles. The actor Robert Blake (Bakley's tenth husband) was later acquitted of her murder, however a civil court eventually found him to be liable for her death. -

No, he hasn't. The head of the Latter Day Saints Church is Thomas Monson, who, unless he has just fallen off a cliff, been beaten to death by one or all of his ten wives, or came out worst in a wrestling contest with a cougar, is alive and well. The deceased person you are referring to - but haven't even bothered to name - is/was Jack H Goaslind, who once headed the church's youth wing and was one of their 109 general authorities, albeit a very senior one. Please can you make a little more effort with your posts, notaguest. As soon as I saw your name on the thread, I knew it was going to be ugly. Whilst your enthusiasm for noting dead nobodies is admirable, at the moment you're just regurgitating whatever you've harvested from the Wikipedia recent deaths page and the results, which you splatter across these pages are truly, utterly crap.

Mugabe's health seems to be on the decline. There have been a lot of stories like this in the last few weeks. I think the DL committee should consider having another punt on him when they gather to consider the 2012 list.
