    General Jaruzelski

Over four years on and all nine of Banshees Scream's bold predicitions remain obstinately still alive . However General Jaruzelski is in hospital yet again with heart problems and might do well to see 2011, let alone 2012...

And this is where she hangs out, so to speak. Glad to see the site is doing its best to preserve its models' modesty. Yesterday, Donna Simpson apparently demolished the world's biggest ever Christmas dinner:

    Football

This will only appeal to a few, but I did enjoy reading this rambling account of a hapless Sheffield Wednesday supporter's trip to watch his team play Exeter City on Saturday. It was the only game in Leagues 1 and 2 not to be called off due to snow and the Wednesday fans had to battle though appalling weather conditions to make it to St James Park. Many hundreds turned back, but those who arrived in time got to watch one of the most inept teams ever witnessed get battered 5-1 by a rampant Exeter (I speak with authority as I was there ). Some fans didn't make it back to Sheffield until 8am on Sunday.

Possibly unrelated, but there was a chap on Radio 4 this morning telling us that if a hamster was thrown out of a plane it would most likely survive. Which leads me to wonder: + + - = ?

Not wrong, but illogical since every DDP player with a shout of winning would have had her. The debate would have been whether to make her your joker. But now that's all academic. Had she survived, including her in your team would not have won you the DDP but not including her would have left you needing to make ground on those who did. This is probably the most literal definition of a dead certainty. Good point, I just saw at as easy points to start with, need to work my replacement now...Edrich or Frankin...decisions, decisions... James Moody has inoperable pancreatic cancer and isn't getting chemo for it. He's also be nominated for a Grammy in February, so he should get an obit. Should he lived past December 31st, I'd assume he'd be lock for most people. I am forever in your debt Mr. Guest...unless he doesn't die of course, in which case you'll have to do with my eternal gratitude and disdain. Oh dear.

Ruthie and Winfield, our two turkeys, have been spared execution on account of their owner (me) being such a softie. No longer to be annointed with the cranberries of wrath, or summat. They're happily gobbling outside as I type.
