We are currently at about 945-6 now aren't we? I'll go for Ronnie Biggs (even though it's most likely to be someone I've never heard of). Edit: Just read the email...we are a bit closer to the 1000 than I though. So Zsa Zsa Gabor is my choice.

...and here it is... I don't understand what possible connection MJ has with Fulham. Even in MJ had a connection, eg he went to a few of their matches or anything. They could at least have had a better statue made If you don't like it, you know what you can do.

There did used to be a 'Near Misses' thread, but I think it was done away with because deaths were being reported in multiple threads...

That doesn't count as a proper obit though? You wouldn't get points for it on the DDP?

Fame? Amongst deadpoolers maybe, amongst the general populace, virtually unknown. "Candidates must have a certain level of famousness, which is basically that their demise must be expected to be reported by the UK media." If it is isn't you are right TF. If it is then you will be wrong. I win Where was her death reported?

As long as there are house fires, there is always a chance...

A unique pick for the Living End... Who would have guessed.

This article basically confirms what most of us think about Zsa Zsa's hospital dashes. According to her daughter, Gabor wasn't even admitted to the hospital Von Anhalt claims she was at. He is now saying that she was admitted under a false name. I'm sure that would have protected her privacy had he not proceeded in telling the media that she had been admitted to that hospital. It is also likely that Zsa Zsa didn't come out with the "I'm next" quote. She has dementia and no longer speaks. She probably wasn't even aware of who Elizabeth Taylor was. Thus, in short, the whole saga was an attempt by Von Anhalt to make it into the papers by tagging on to the news of Taylor's death. This leaves us with the question - how many legs does Gabor really have?

That is nothing compared to what I saw on television yesterday. I was watching the Fern show on Channel 4 (don't judge me) when all of a sudden there was a mock picture of the Queen sitting on the loo. Scandalous!

John Bardon is leaving Eastenders. He suffered a stroke a few years back...he obviously hasn't recovered as well as he had hoped.

They've kept that quiet, not even Wikipedia or her own official website knows about it! I think that was an attempt at an April Fool's prank...

Does anyone have a copy of my 2010 shadow list? Its the only one I can't find since my computer broke. I figure that at least one person may have saved a copy in case I tried to swap a few names half way through the year...

How much points did she get for that?

Zsa Zsa Gabor has been rushed to hospital after coughing up blood. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if this is an old episode or a new one...

Flip. And here was me thinking I was in with a chance of being player of the month. I noticed back in January that he wasn't even in my top fifty. Must have been a senior moment.

Mohammed Omar al-Mukhtar, son of the leader of the Libyan resistance movement and general hero Omar al-Mukhtar, is stil alive at 90 and has come out against Gadaffi...despite the fact he accompanied him to Rome in 2009. When he pops his clogs he will probably get some mention in the press - like Lenin's niece last week. -
The Daily Mail have covered her death.

This is all he deserves for deserting the Great Leader.

Dead. That'll be a unique pick on the DDP for A Pelican In The Wilderness, if she gets a UK obit. Isn't she on my DDP? Ah sorry. I'll plead temporary insanity/blindness for that one. Assuming she gets the required obit, she will be my third hit of the week...and year.

Although you have changed her wikipedia page to say she is alive, her official website says she's still dead.

To be fair, I don't think Zsa Zsa Gabor had people like Diane Wynne Jones in mind when she said celebrity deaths come in threes...

She paved the way for Sarah Palin, as the first ever female vice presidential candidate .She's got a lot to answer for... Right...so because she was a woman, and because she ran for vice president, that automatically means she is responsible for Palin's political opportunities?

Just thinking...I hope she didn't send back her census return early...
