Since when?

Do you suppose he might abdicate over this alleged connection? Or will he end up like Pope John Paul I?

Adverts - you either love 'em or hate 'em

I don't care about convention - I'd give her a slap. -
Queen Elizabeth I of England died on this day in 1603. PS. The above portrait was painted 7 years after her death.

All the more reason to die before Christmas...

I have a question about this: is it illegal in the UK for an MP to be bribed or ask for a bribe? In the Netherlands it may land an MP in gaol for up to four years. (Article 362 Penal Code) regards, Hein Perhaps a disgruntled member of the UK electorate should make a complaint to the police.

Are we to presume that one of or both of Ivy Shermer and Olive Tucker, former DDP picks, have died since 2007, when they were featured in the papers? They were both born in 1909 as well? Probably they are dead like Trudi Endersby, but no-one has reported it, and now they've scrapped online death records, it's hard to check. Its a good job I didn't contact Guiness then. I've had a look thorough online obituaries but I can't see any mention of them there.

Does anybody else find it interesting that Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon have found themselves embroiled in this latest scandal only 3 months after their last attempt to sink the government? Anybody would think that this lastest stunt was staged - especially going by Byers claims...

The Conservatives have found a new way of disguising their lack of policy. Samantha Cameron Pregnant. When did Kaite Price become an advisor to the Conservative Party?

Dennis Hopper.

Don't be silly. Dave wants his place in history as the man who fixed Britain. Broken economy. Broken society. Broken family. Broken f**king record.

Thats not a given I'm afraid. Brown is very unpopular with those who would traditionally vote for a Scot for being Scottish. I speak, ofcourse, of the SNP. It is no secret that Alex Salmond and, even his party membership, are praying for a Conservative win in the election. They have an Independence Referendum Bill coming up in the near future and they think that they will have a better chance of seeing it passed with Cameron in Number 10. Luckily for people like me the SNP vote seems to be in decline at the moment.

The Labour Party will win the election either way. I think that they will be the largest party in the next parliament without a working majority. If they actually lose the election, they will win the next election about 3 months later after the Conservatives wreck the economic recovery.

Billy Wolfe, former leader of the Scottish National Party, has died aged 86. He is my first hit and a unique pick on the DDP - provided he gets a decent obit. Edit: BBC link.

Dead Peter Falk Is Suffering From Alzheimer's Disease

I don't know if that was a Alzhemiers joke or not - but I'll answer anyway. Columbo. (Still shown on ITV at the weekends). -
Its a pity we didn't have him on the list. That would have been two easy deadlines in a row...

Some people will do anything to get their name in the headline. Why can't these stupid bastards accept that just sometime people die of natural causes without unnecessary drama?

Archie Mitchell: 25th December 2009?

Yes, but everybody expected the Pope to die. There isn't much to read about an old man dying after suffering for years from a degenerative condition. Nobody expected Steve Irwin to die. There was also the added curiosity of how the fuck did a man who wrestles with crocodiles manage to get killed by a stingray. Michael's Jackson's death was not entirely unexpected, but still sudden. People were interested to know of the circumstances - suicide, murder, accident? Just because they are googled, it doesn'y necessarily mean that they are the 'most significant'.
-
I don't think that former-US Presidents can be the most 'significant deaths' due to the word 'former' before their title. Ford ceased to be President in 1977 then we heard very little from him meaning his death wasn't all that significant when it happened. The same goes for Reagan although to a lesser extent because he is a God of the right-wing conservatives. Thats why I voted for Pope John Paul II. At the time of his death he led 1 billion people - about a 6th of the World's population. His death means (with hindsight) that there is now a more conservative Pope in the Vatican - a change which has had some impact on the world.

Right. This and this would suggest that they are Britain's oldest twins (presuming there isn't an unknown set out there). Mystery solved. I know Mrs Ritchie's granddaughter.
-
A new claim for world's oldest person. A 130 year old Georgian called Antisa Khvichava. Going back to the twins, I spoke to my friend last night and both her grandmother and great aunt are still alive and will turn 101 on their next birthday. Don't know if the family will take it further or not.
-
One half of Britain's oldest set of twins has died aged 102. Twin dies. Quite interesting as one of my friend's grandmother and her sister turned 100 last year. Could they now be Britain's oldest twins (assuming they are both still alive).

What can I say. I didn't know him.

Jamie Bulger's mother. She needs ro realise that the world doesn't owe her a favour.
