It has now been offically confirmed by the BBC. He is dead.
-
Associated Press are now reporting that he is dead. Quite a credible source.
-
A special BBC newsflash. The last one of those was probably for the Queen Mother..
-
One of his fans on the BBC said that Jacko's death will drawf the hysteria of Elvis. Wouldn't surprise me if there were a few suicides over this. I can remember seeing footage of his dedicated fans after his trial.
-
The LA Times are saying he is in a coma. Another Sharon?
-
I'll put him on amber just now until we get official word. Edit: Sky News.

A mini death-con at the Marchioness's funeral? What a fitting tribute to the dear old lady. We may even get good seats. I'm a distant relation by marriage don't you know (although my lot are the bunch of bastards)

Just reported on BBC Radio 5 that Jacko has been rushed to hospital - no other details there at the moment - interesting... Surely not another big death missed by DL 2009? The biggest of them all.... Well...he was on my shadow list (smug smug smug). Unfortunately not in my top 20 (kick in the bollocks). Not that he is dead yet...

The Parole Board recomend his release.

Marchioness of Aberdeen and Temair, June Gordon, has died aged 95. The only reason I mention her is that I remember Notapotato mentioning her a couple of years back.

Only 600 sitting MPs voted in the speaker's election. So about 46 didn't bother showing up, including my own beloved MP... I wouldn't read too much into it. Not true. All but the 5 Sinn Fein MPs and two others (including Paisley) turned up. However out of those who turned up, not all voted. Oh right. Anyway. He may contend his Westminster seat next year. Hardly the actions of a dying man. Denial? Anyways if I was to draw up a list of people who have died from natural causes whilst holding office I'd be here all day... He may well die whilst in office, but if he was indeed ill, it is unlikely that he would contend his seat.

There is no such thing as a most significant death of the year. I'd never heard of this man, yet I had heard of Jade Goody and Wendy Richard. Does that make their deaths more signifcant? No, it does not.

I love the way that they have provided a picture so you know exactly what not to do.

Enjoy LB , I love mine too, I got the all clear on some health issues today and after all the upheaval of a marriage breakdown and moving to a country area where employment is extremely low I'm going back into paid employment in 2 weeks time, so you can guess that the wine is flowing freely here tonight, may give the kebab a miss though as they haven't quite reached the Borders yet, roast pig on a spit is the local yokels sort of thing . Good to hear you got the all clear, LG. And congratulations on getting the job. If anybody deserves a break, its you. LB, enjoy your night of freedom. I don't drink, but a bottle of vodka sounds good to me right now to make my mundane existence just that little bit more entertaining.

Who, Henry Allingham? Going on the last video from BBC it wouldn't surprise me, but what sources? Probably Iain. And who is Iain, a relative of Allingham's? No. Just a really annoying muppet who occassionally pops up...

What has your MP been claiming for? My MP [the lovely Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond, MP, MSP, PC, MA etc etc] tried to impeach Tony Blair and claimed 800 quid for food during a Parliamentary recess. He is a hard working MP though, having voted a total of about 6 times since 2007.

I think he was lying...

One of the questions I have had since I was about 12. When I was in secondary school there was girl inmy class who was petrified of blood. Just the smallest amount would make her faint. A slight nose bleed and she would faint. The smallest cut ro a finger and she would faint. So what do you suppose happens every time she has her period? One of the great unanswered questions of my youth...

Really? Oops. Don't know how I got those two groups mixed up...

She died one day after Lord Carrington's 90th Birthday. Must have been one hell of a night before...
