http://jta.org/news/article/2009/04/14/100...for-deportation I have watched the video on the BBC. It looked like he was carried out in a wheelchair. He didn't look like a well man - doesn't look like he is faking it.

Someone has shot and killed Sandi Thom's cat. She had one number one a couple years back. Still all the rage up here... (Sandi Thom, not the cat).

    Phil Spector

I was slightly annoyed with the BBC last night for getting his age wrong. They started the report by saying he was born in 1939, and ended it by saying he was 67 years old. Looks like even I could get a job with the BBC these days. I have also noted quite a few errors and typos on their website recently. There is hope for me yet.

    Ask A Deathlister

Thanks for the help. It is utter bollocks like. Everybody I have asked has questioned the legality of the move. It is simply a way of avoiding redundancy pay. They will be firing me soon along with the rest of the kitchen staff (almost a given). If I sign their contract it means I will be agreeing to the idea that I have only worked there 2 weeks, and they can get rid of me pronto. If I don't sign their contract, they can apparently fire me in 8 weeks (so I have 6 left). At the same time they are trying to tell us when we can take our annual leave (it has to be spead out), and are banning us from taking unpaid days off (something we had been allowed to do so longs as we arranged our own cover). With regards citizens advice - I have been told to go, but the showdown meeting will be this Thursday at 2 o'clock. So I wil have to try and find the time. I'd probably be better off getting the sack.

    Ask A Deathlister

Does anybody know anything about employment law? I have worked at the same place for over 6 years, but about 2 weeks ago we were bought over by a new company. The new company are claiming that, as far as they are concerned, I have only worked there for two weeks (since they took over). I am currently still on my old contract. How legal is that?

    Humanity Itself

Not a far fetched view. The Green parties of the 1980's believed that HIV/AIDS was a good thing as a means of population control. They thought it should be allowed to run its course, killing off a good proportion of the world population. I'm sure bird flu will be of some use - as soon as it stops being so lame.

Population control. The reason why we should stop Children in Need and Comic Relief etc. Leave them to die until they correct their population levels to a more sustainable size. It will happen to us all one day. Perhaps selfishness and unethical self interest is the only way ahead. Let them die, so that there are enough resourses for us (before they grow a set of balls and keep all their resources for themselves).

You have the same IP address as BCAlum2000! Would you care to comment Mr/Mrs/Miss ranter? Are you a burglar who broke in to BC's house and spotted BC's computer switched on and decided to make a quick statement? MWAH HA HA! Owned, as my kids would say! I do believe BC is almost as much of a twat as BS. Don't say that. Banshees may up his game to see off the competition.

    Room 101

I have worked in the kitchen department for 6 years. It used to be an after school job, but when I went to Uni I was kept on for weekend's. I do alot of cover during the holidays though. I generally just wash dishes, but I often cover as the cook's assistant, which includes food preparation, and a minimal degree of cooking. Most of our residents have to take what they are given with regards homes. They have very little choice - especially those who depend on the council to contribute towards fees.
  12. In my case, there wouldn't be very much left.

My place of work - a care home - was bought over by another company last week. I was informed yesterday that the resident's fees will increase by over one third. This means that their fees will be increased to over £700 per week. At the same time, the new owners have had the cheek to cut services. They have, for example, told my boss that they are no loner to get a three course meal for lunch. He is restricted to £22 per person per week for food. Personally, I think it is disgusting and I have let them know it accusing the new owners of gross profiteering. I'll probably be getting the sack anyway, so there is no point in keeping quiet. It is rumoured that the entire kitchen department - bar the cook and his one assistant - will be fired. Instead the carers - who spend most of their day wiping arses and cleaning up shite - will be drafted into the kitchen to do all the dishes.

So? Well, I just thought I'd throw in that snippet of information. Do you think it might have been a tad unnecessary? Who is Peter Gabriel?

Go spend it on my mother - two blow jobs for a fiver, apparently. I don't mean to intrude into your personal life, but you should PM me this woman's name. I might know her (or of her). (And if I do, it will have nothing to do with the two-for-one blowjob deal).

    The Dead Of 2009

Fraserburgh Highstreet has died. I only ever went down town to go to Woolies or John Trails. Woolies shut down in January, and now Trails has burned to the ground. The town centre is now dead. We have about 4 second hand shops, a Superdrug (Jokes withstanding), and a few newsagents. That's about it. The only thing left - on the outskirts of the town - is a Tescos. It is the only place in town where you can now buy a decent DVD. It is now the only place in town (bar perhaps Argos (which is next door)) where you can buy a toy. For God sake, you can't even buy pens, paper or ringbinders in the town centre anymore. The credit crunch really won't affect Fraserburgh - there is nowhere left to spend our money...

If you post it here, you're sure to get plenty of proof-reading and free advice, Windsor. Indeed, I'm sure it would. It would be hacked to bits, I'd end up a nervous wreck, and I'd end up jumping in front of a bus.

Just finished the 1st draft of my dissertation. I say 1st draft...but nothing much will be changing. So longs as it passes, I'll get a 2:1, thus there is no incentive for any further work. (Although I'm sure I'll be able to proof read it before its due on the 30th). I will be happy for the next 10 minutes at least.

My next door neighbour stayed out last night. Unfortunately he left his dog in the back garden. The little bastard barked all night. First stage was from about midnight to 1.30am. Second stage was 3.00am to about 4.00am. If it happend again, he will come home in the morning to find his dog hanging from the washing line...

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

    1) I didn't say the queen said it was a problem. I am saying that the papers are reporting "a breach of protocol" because she was touched. The queen isn't supposed to be touched like "normal" people (?!) 2) How dare you? I am not left wing at all. What an assumption to make! Since when are we getting personal here? 3) Never said Cameron looked Chinese, only of a diferent ethnic origin to Obama. As in "all whites must look the same to Barak Obama". 4) People would still go to Windsor and Bucks house if there was no monarchy. The buildings are there already, and that is what people go to see. I know that is why I did, same as with Schoenbrunn in Vienna and Versailles in Paris. 1. It is a breach of protocol. Albeit an informal and insignificant breach. It has absolutely nothing to do with class on commonality. 2. You certainly sound left wing to me. 3. If you actually listened to what was being said, Obama mentioned a list of people including the Chinese and David Cameron. The Duke of Edinburgh's comment had nothing to do with the President thinking that all non-blacks (whatever) look alike. 4) The fact that Britain still has a Royal Family raises the profile of Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace. The fact is that the Royal Family are an attraction. You only have to look at the Royal junk in all the tourist shops.
