    Deathlist Dreaming

Heal my mind of what? What does the dream mean? Should I be worried if any of the three do actually die in the near future? Windsor, it is your psyche reminding you that good people and bad people die in car accidents, through no fault of their own, all the time. Statistically speaking, public transport is a far safer alternative, so it is your own mind reaffirming that, no matter how dire the situation may be, your crappy bus service really is the best mode of transport available to you. The unfortunate death of the child is a reminder of your boyhood hopes and aspirations; all crushed under the weight of the depressing realisation of the humdrum monotony of the New Year. Or summat. Works for me. Its probably just as well I can't remember what I dreamt about last night...

Her funeral takes place tomorrow, so if there is nothing reported on Tuesday or Wednesday I think you may struggle.

    Deathlist Dreaming

I've had two quite odd dreams over the last two nights. Last night I dreamt that I had bought the robes of a minister (religious type). Can't explain what I would want with those, but there you are. The second dream involved three deaths of local people known to myself. One of them I dislike - he died in a car crash in the dream. The second I have not spoken to in over two years - he also died in a car crash. The third was a boy I know - he died due to some mystery illness leaving us all devestated. Does Banshees still offer analysis of dreams?

    Jane Goodie

I was condemned at work this morning for ranting about her after seeing her fat mug splashed across the front page of the Sun. Apparently I have to feel compasion for her, because that could be my sister suffering from cancer...

  9. I'd be a brilliant SNP member. e.g. My life seems to be a continual circle of moaning and picking fights - just like the SNP.

Have you ever travelled by Stagecoach bus...in the winter...at 7.30am...between Fraserburgh and Aberdeen? Stagecoach busses have the ability to be colder on the inside, than it actually is in the outside.

According to wikipedia he should only be 92 this year - not 98.
  12. Happy Birthday LFN! May you keep good health in the coming year (if anything happened to you, who would pay my uni fees?).

Sorry to hear about your mum, LG. I hope things turn out well. But you should have realised by now that the N in NHS refers to ENglish. The "National" border ends at Hadrian's Wall to the north and Offa's Dyke to the west. It always has and always will. Funny that. If you asked an Englishman, he would tell you the exact opposite. You may wish to compare the NHS in England, and the NHS in Scotland, then decide who has the better deal. I think the main problem is this NHS 24 which has been proven to be an unreliable service. They have the deaths of several people on their hands already. Sorry to hear about your mum, LG. I'm sure she'll be fine now that proper medical assistance is on its way.

Who cares if he dies? I don't think even he cares. I do. As do the good number of people who put him on their DDPs.

    The Dead Of 2008

Personal one for my family - Rev. Douglas R. Clyne. He was minister of Fraserburgh's Old Parish Church for 31 years. In that time he conducted the funeral of my great great grandmother, married my great grandfather to his second wife, conducted the funerals of two other great grandparents, married my gran and her second husnand, married my parents, baptized my sister and me, and came out of retirement to marry my sister and her husband in May 2008. He was also a great friend of my mother, whom he appointed an Elder of the Church of Scotland in 2004. He was one of the few good things to happen to Fraserburgh, the sad thing being that his own session practically betrayed him in the end.

    Discuss DL 2009

Allingham doesn't qualify for the deathlist. He is only really famous for living so long. My great grandfather fought in WW1 but I bet you don't know his name. The reason you don't know his name is that he died in 1953 when there were still thousands of great war veterans on the go. So Allingham is only really famous for suffering from the most common terminal illness of all - old age.

Pishflaps! Thought he might be a unique pick for my team. I don't actually know how ill he is. Last news I had on him there was a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court. He'll survive Winnie, dyed in the wool 'weegie' alcoholic actor, it's a bit of a cliche, but I'd be very surprised if he goes this year, people like him defy death, unless you are talking about another 'Iain McColl' . I'm on about the comedian guy (Rab C Nesbit fame). He has some sort of cancer. It could be that he is following the trend of Pinochet (although his charges are not quite as bad as mass murder).
