The beginning of the end, according to my calculations, would be around July the third 2005. Thanks. You hand me far more credit than I'm due. Perhaps you could organise a cull of anyone who posts more than once a week? How's your slutty workmate? Shagged her yet or are you still wiating for her to see sense? I've come to the conclusion that she is mad. Last week she told us that she was down in London last year. Whilst there, she went clubbing with Princes William and Harry, and had drinks with a crowned Queen. As well as that, the Queen Mother was also there - quite odd given that she died 4 years before hand. Besides - she only goes for older men. Or should I say it is only older men who go for her - if you catch my drift. Have you shagged my mum yet? No. Although going by your discription, I did hear that she had been causing quite a bit of fuss in our harbour. I'll wager that your harbour visitor smelt nicer than my mum. Is this the record for the most quotes in a post yet? Depends. Is there a category for that in the monkey awards?

Tell me, what exactly is a 'sudden stroke'? Aren't they all sudden?

Does it still pay to commit people to asylum?

Geoff's father did not rob a train, killing one man in the process. Nor did he escape justice in the 1960s only to come back 40 years later looking for someone to foot his medical bills.

Well that saved an argument I suppose. Not being a writer, I don't know the channels one has to go through to get some legal child porn for research purposes. Quite frankly, he has been charged by mere technicality if that is the case. Is it not the case that child porn is child porn? What exactly is it , from a research point of view, that can be learned from photos of children being abused? Perhaps entering a cyber community of such people would count, but if such a community did exist, surely it would be shut down?

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries ,etc ...for 2007

Happy Birthday Yogi. Get spoiled rotten(er). -
HoS will probably disappear for a while now. He only really sticks around when paedophiles are up for discussion. By the way, Langham never actually produced any child porn. I'm led to believe that this charge means that by downloading such material, he created the images on his computer. Not that this makes the charge any lighter, you understand.

I've written a page for wikipedia and it seems to have survived. I'm not saying which page because I know my 'friends' here will hack it to bits. Anyway, if my biography about a little known about person can survive, I think the DL should be allowed a page. Mind you, we are probably above Wiki now.

Franklin D. Roosevelt. Well - it was great for Hitler. For all of 5 minutes...

I'm not interested in any conventions or meetings. I am not that sociable. Besides, what's wrong with DL chat?

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries ,etc ...for 2007

Thanks, SttG and H. -
Ingmar Bergman is the 7th success of 2007. He is the 157th hit since 1987. The 2007 list is now in 13th place shared with 1996 out of a possible 21 lists. I'm not sure if this is a record for one month - I doubt it is. I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to. I've found sadder things to do such as constructing a family tree which now has about 200 direct ancestors of mine.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries ,etc ...for 2007

Thank you all for your birthday greetings. As NAP mentioned, I spent the whole day at a wedding. My cousin was inconsiderate enough to have her wedding on my birthday! It was certainly a different day. The groom is Swedish and so the Scottish/Swedish traditions came into one (sort of). In Sweden, they don't dance about and get drunk. They eat and say speeches all night. Luckily the Swedish participation was restricted. At my table of seven, there were 4 Scots, 2 Americans and a Swede. It was like eating with Larry David. Unfortunatly there were no drunken family fights. As well as that, I had to be into work at 9 this morning. -
SCUM He should have died down a dark alley with a needle sticking out of his arm. Instead he dies in a house fire and becomes a victim with a place in everyone's heart. Derek Youngson was not a nice guy. He was a prick. A junkie prick. The last time I interacted with him was about 3 years ago at school where he was attempting to threaten me. Unfortunatley for this pathetic little runt, he was just a joke with no back up. It wouldn't surprise me if he or his step-father started the fire whilst drugged up on whatever. His mother will now be rubbing her hands at the prospect of getting compensation for a son she did not care about until his death hit the front pages. That'll get her alot of fixes. He was not murdered. If anyone wanted to murder him it would have been easier just to let him OD.

I do regret picking Josie Grove but only because I've lost any highground in the argument. She was only 3 years younger than me so perhaps my lack of compassion can be explained through that. However, had I not put her on my DDP I would be way down the board unable to compete against the hanging Iraqi teams.

No - Fraserburgh Academy. We just had alot of rich kids in attendance. You see, in Fraserburgh you have had alot of rich fishermen who like to think of themselves as just your average guy. They have, however, failed to notice that the average guy goes not buy their children brand new cars, personalised number plates, top of the range golf clubs and a flat in Aberdeen.

Not exactly dying on his birthday but a party pooper all the same. Whilst doing a bit of family research I learned about my greatx5 grandfather, Hugh Birnie. The first thing that alerted me to him being a class one party pooper was the fact that he died on Christmas Day 1817. Secondly he died within a year of his marriage (26 Jan 1817). Thirdly he died about two months before the birth of his only child who was baptised 9th Feb 1818. His son had more luck enjoying 62 years of marriage, surviving a few of his own children...

I can remember in my sixth year of secondary school all the rich lads buying brand new cars and personalised number plates. One really arrogant prick by the name of Beau decided that he would get a personal number plate. It was something like B1EAW which looks nothing like his name. Needless to say, his number plate then became his nickname (so it all worked out in the end). He was a class one tosser though. To give you an idea, he was a member of the local golf club and wasn't very fond of less well off people. He liked to show off his (parent's) affluence. He attacked one of my friends at a charity car wash for dirtying a sponge whilst cleaning the wheel things. Prick. (This has been a character reference for people with personalised number plates).

Canadian Paul: DL's very own Shilpa Shetty? I have been meaning to apologise for that but I've always decided against doing so. I'll just let you use it as your get out card in every argument we have along with the usual 'pot-kettle-black' speech.

One of my picks is questionable compared to about 90% of his. I had to do something to compete. Given that I had already agreed to drop the hanging Iraqis before January, I could hardly go with them. If I had known just how popular these picks were I would have gone with them also. Here is a good idea. I'll give up my sicko points if everybody else gives up their deathrow points. Would you go for that? Didn't think so. I have a feeling there will have to be more changes to the DDP rules for the second year running. Otherwise the end result will be a bunch of teams putting forward candidates who already have a date of death written in stone. Now before Mr. Paul comes back with his usual catchphrase, I'm sure that everybody is already aware that I had Saddam Hussein last year.
