I don't think there is enough evidence to put him on just yet. If he is to be included, it would be on the basis that we don't want to miss a big one. A bit like Thatcher's listing this year. The Queen had made it clear that when the time for Republic comes, she will go quietly. The Queen is also someone who respects other faith and culture whereas you are simply ignorant. Your next King, the Prince of Wales, is the embodyment of everything you detest. He is not in a traditional family unit and is open minded towards other race and religion. Why would the Republic of Ireland want to have a Protestant head of state when they are prodominantly Catholic? Why would they want the British Sovereign as Head of State when they decided to ditch them in the 1920s? The British Empire fell apart because we did not have the money or resources to keep it together. It was in Britain's best interest to get rid of the Empire when she did - albeit reluctantly. Legally, we had no right to keep Hong Kong after the 99 year lease (or whatever). I think it's a bloody good job we got rid of Hong Kong. We do not want the worlds next superpower to bear a grudge do we? Besides, I thought you liked totalitarian regimes... It would be foolish to describe the existing areas currently under British rule as an Empire. It would be more foolish to see the Queen as some sort of Empress over her other Realms and Terriroties.

One or two things there Xenon. The Queen is no longer sovereign of Ireland, only Nothern Ireland. The Empire was virtually if not completely gone before Thatcher entered office. Hong Kong was given back after she left office. How can you put down my earlier post as mere speculation. The Prince of Wales is known to have committed adultery. It is a fact that he is divorced. It is a fact that his elder brother and sister are divorced (and separated). It is a fact that Princess Margaret was an alcoholic and it is a fact that the Queen Mother was a batered wife (not the chip pan sort). The ones listed as rumours have already been specified as such. There are no traditional family values there. They are more disfunctional than mf family and that is saying something! I hate people who refuse to take fact on board. Surely you must know that the Queen is hanging on in Australia probably due to electoral default. Also, a Republic over your dead body? I'm sure that could be arranged...

The Duke of York is a divorcee and a playboy prince. The Earl of Wessex is such an obvious closet homosexual. The Princess Royal is a divorcee and now biding her time for a second devorce. The late Princess Margaret was an alcoholic drug adict who may have bore a child outside of marriage. Princess Margaret kept a toy boy in her later years. Princess Michael of Kent is having an affair with a Russian tycoon. George VI beat his wife, the Queen Mother. Most male monarchs previous to George VI had a sting of mistresses. Rumours: The Duke of Edinburgh had an affair. The Queen had an affair. The Duke of Edinburgh had his former daughter in law killed. The Prince of Wales is a bi-sexual. I'm sure there are more but Eastenders is about to start.

Hein is in for a Treat in 2007. So she will be in America and Holland next year. Not the actions of a dying woman. If anything, it sounds like they are trying to run her to an early grave.

I was supposed to be working all day Christmas but my employer changed policy. I agreed to work for a woman who became a grandmother for the first time this year. She wanted to spend Christmas with her grandchild so I agreed to cover for her. This was about 2 months before Christmas. Anyway - her holiday was denied because a shitty new policy says that if you are off on New Years day, you may not have Christmas day off. In other words, you have to choose. She couldn't choose because she is not working on New Year and the other lady could not swap shifts because she will be hosting her family this christmas. So poor Tracey will have to work 7.30-4 this Christmas even though she had arranged cover (me). Just shows how far the spirit of Christmas gets you. I'm just pissed off because it's double pay on Christmas - that would have fairly helped the bank balance. Anyway - poor Tracey.
