    World's Oldest

That is weird, since the BBC ran an article when it was her birthday back in June I've been in Aberdeen every day this week and heard nothing of her demise. If she is dead, does that make Allingham the oldest Briton?

Isn't Kennedy refered to as 'John F. Kennedy' rather than John Fitzgerald Kennedy'? Just like Harry S. Truman.

If you can prove it you get the points, if you can't you don't. Another example of deadpools going too far. It's only a game and I think Hans rule is a good one for keeping the game going in between deaths.

    Derby Dead Pool 2006

Well, far from liking the situation I suppose I will have to put up with it. I'm submitting the team I made up for the old rules so that'll be fun. Can't remember who is on it though. If we are suggesting that under 18 deaths are below the belt, how long will it be until be rule out terminal cancer...

Can't help but think that the Royals are letting things go... Still, at least the trains would run on time.

    Stranger Than Death

Did a family member manage to renew the disabled sticker for those all-important trips to Waitrose? No. Incidently both she and my grandfather died at 6.40am. Must be the time they look for dead folk in hospitals...

    Stranger Than Death

Not the same thing but I'll give it a go with the example of my family. My Great Grandfather was discovered dead at 4.30am on 1st October 1964. His wife (g Grandmother) died at 11.35pm on 30th September 1965. So give or take a few hours they died exactly 1 year between one another. ____________________________ My Grandmother died on 2nd May 2006. This was the same date as her car disabled sticker run out. ____________________________ Thats about it.

That to me is over complicating things, one of the attractions of the DDP is it's straight forward scoring system. I wouldn't want to see it made any more complicated than the new proposals state. Although I would be happy to see under 18's disallowed, that's one moral quagmire I'd be glad not to have to consider wading into. It's not that complictated.

    Derby Dead Pool 2006

I like Windsor's idea of making the number of teams a pick is in a scoring factor too. May I invite Rude Kid to join the conversation? regards, Hein You may as well invite him. Most of us are members of his deadpool thus he can get a good feedback from the forum. My overall concern with the new system is the age thing. Most people die over 70 but thats not reflected in the scoring. I can see the idea, but it has been taken too far.

    Derby Dead Pool 2006

It would be much better if points were awared out of 10 through 2 scales. Age and popularity. For example: 100+ =1, 85-100= 2, 70-85=3, 50-70=4, 18-70=5. This makes more sense as being a deadpool of famous people, they are likely to die in old age. What is the point of giving the higest number of points to a group of 30-40 year olds? At the same time, there should be a scale for the number of times a particular celebrity has been chosen. I mean, who doesn't have Ariel Sharon on their 2007 list? 1-10= 5, 10-25=4, 25-50=3, 50-75=2, 75-100 = 1, 100+ = 0. So say a 86 year old who appeared on 54 list die: 2+2= 4 points. A 72 year old on 23 lists: 3+4=7 points Then you would do all the bonus shite. Then again, what do I know...

The new scoring system makes entering the DDP a waste of time and effort. People have been making their teams to comply with the old system. Now we have to reconsider!
