I mentioned Bernard Manning in deadchat last night. He turns 76 this year and doesn't look too helthy. Who might the famous family be? The Kennedys?

Might be significant health wise, might just indicate that once you've been president other honours seem tame, maybe there was something good on tv that night. What the hell has he done to merit this award? Yes, he was President but that was 30 years ago. Since then he has just evaded death. Maybe that's worth an award in itself, perhaps the "Squeaky" Fromm Survival Award! Ford also received a Profile in Courage Award from the Kennedy Foundation, of all places, a few years back for giving Nixon a pardon in 1974 thus stymieing his own chances of election in 1976. If he lives up to 12 November this year he will have broken Ronald Reagan's record as the longest-lived ex-President and he might actually, unlike Reagan, be aware of it! He celebrates his 93rd on Friday, Bastille Day, and is one of several Presidents born in July including Calvin Coolidge (only President born on the 4th) and George Bush Jnr (6th). I was born in July. Do I get an award? I'm also the longest living monarchist in Fraserburgh. The only reason I'm still alive is due to my parents hiding me in the attic in an Anne Frank style...

He probably died of a broken heart. A couple of months ago Grapian was taken over by stv and they stopped showing early hour repeats of 'Weirs Way' instead opting for 'The Mint'. It's some sort of Quiz thing thats on all night. How depressing.

And another thing, I've read this more than once: Tonga is not the last monarchy in the Pacific. There's Japan, Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand (unless the last three are in the Indian Ocean).

He has been ailing for a long time and was too sick to attend his 88th birthday celebration, according to this article. Yes, I know about that. I was just saying that the death of his nephew is not likely to be the final nail in the coffin for him.

Tom Weir is on my list for 2007. Could you please provide a source for your information, iain? Tom Weir is definitely dead now though, tough luck Captain, you'll have to think of a replacement for '07. I did put his name forward for deathlist 2006 but oh well. I also removed him from my DDP. Damn!

Well, he is the self styled Prince of Darkness.

Mohammed Al-Fayed's? Yes. Rather than promote his business, he has created a Dodi and Diana memorial site. I've sent him a few emails for his comment page but he never shows mine...
-
Great post, Mr. Al-Fayed. She's dead alright..... Today Rita recommends.... Jesus car fresheners - your car, your holiness Have you visited the fat f**ks website? I did and it didn't do my blood pressure any favours.

I don't think the death of his nephew will have any result on the Knig's health. His nephew was one of those democracy freaks and as far as I'm aware T4 only gives in to democracy when he has to. Can't wait for the conspiracy stories...

Congratulations. What did you do this time? I called Geraldine a twat. I just regret that I didn't have the time to do that at your forum...

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006
Windsor replied to Tuber Mirum's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Thank you ie for those kind words. I think I've milked this event as far as possible (post wise). Now I look forward to my actual Birthday on the 28th . -
I'll have to remember that one.

When...err..if Hilary Clinton becomes President, will that make the former President Clinton the First Gentleman? What the hell will he be?

I've just noticed something annoying about the link to the museum. At the top of the page the sign for the Enlish language is half Union Flag and half American. The brutes! Last night I was watching some programme about emigration to the USA and some Polish asshole discribed the language as American. How long will it be before the language known as English is officially renamed as American?

I was chatting with on of Heath's former Special Branch detectives and he often said one of his duties was ensuring Ted's young male friends were sneaked in and sneaked out without anyone realising. So basically anyone could write an article about it, but no-one really cares.

Thanks Six. Most of them bully me. I'm so vunerable.

I can't help thinking that's a bad miss for you regards DDP, young Windsor. His local fame would've been enough for the local BBC pages, I would've thought. I vaguely remember when he signed up for university a few years back. It did cross my mind. He was in the papers for something last year and I thought 'Hmmm, maybe', but didn't think he was famous enough.
-
This guy from my University has died. Never met him or anything.

I sort of agree. Can't they just rage in the Drunken Fights thread? Not all of the members here are drunkards and we too need a place to vent verbosely. In a post whorish way, I second this motion.

You get to boast about your success until someone bans your IP.

Yes, goodpoint. Star Crossed would find himself with less to say...

Yes, a genius who is now very unlikely to pick up a knighthood.

Probably just jealousy...
