    Peter Sallis

For F**ks sake - GIVE HIM THE THREAD BACK!. Windsor, before you comment, please shut up. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't give you a warning for that unprovoked attack. Now I'd be inclined to go against Tempus' claim soley because of that insult. I'm childish, I know.

I believe that Tempus Fugit is pointing out that the likes of Peter Sallis are going threadless where no-hopers, such as Brad Pitt, have been granted the honour of having their own thread. (Sallis material is generally redirected to the 'Last of the Summer Wine' thread).
  3. I must say, these must be the most belated Birthday greetings ever...

    A Joke

I have reached the conclusion that there is no justice in this world. Can you see the justice in this?: Gary Glitter molested underage girls and got only 3 years in prison but Christopher Reeve got the electric chair for riding horses.

    Sir Patrick Moore

So how do you know this? How did you get your inside information? What makes you think he is in grave condition? As far as I can see Sir Patrick has had some medical treatment and is corrently in a comfortable state in hospital. So where do you get all your information iain, because it certainly would be handy to know?

    The Ides Of March

Today Mr. Blair won his vote on Education reform, but only with the help of the Tories. Perhaps it will be one of the final nails in his political coffin.

    Sir Patrick Moore

It doesn't mean anything iain. Lets not forget number 2 on this years list (I've forgotten his name). He had some sort of herat surgery and he was in hospital for ages. He's doing fine now though.

    Margaret Thatcher

Heath didn't. Callaghan didn't. Wilson didn't. etc. can't imaginbe that the leaderine will unless she is given some kind of special treatment for beinbg a wartime leader (although other war leaders have been denied a SF). The difference is that Heath, Callaghan and Wilson were a bunch of push over wimps. Maggie on the other hand, was a strong PM who occupied office for 11 years - much more than those three.

I'm sure you'll be right this time.

    James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

Is that a promise? You wouldn't get hassle if you didn't post false deaths, ''confirm'' already reported deaths and post a bunch of unknowns in the wrong thread. The moderators have done much to help you including pinning the 'Worth a mention' thread.

    Slobodan Milosevic

How very dare you! Equal opportunities I suppose....

Was your Grandmother's doctor called Shipman? Well, now that you mention it...

    Slobodan Milosevic

Will this count as a suicide on DDP? There's no evidence of suicide. It may just have been an accident. Then again, maybe not.... If he deliberately took the wrong drugs knowing that it could lead to his death, it could be construed as suicide. Perhaps it was accidental. It's very easy to get mixed up these days. For a period not so long ago the doctors were effectively poisoning my Grandmother.

It turns out that Slobodan took the wrong drugs.

    World's Oldest

Has anyone informed the BBC or made a query? That ought to get a small article made. As long as you relate it to Mr. Alingham (whatever) that is.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Indeed, she was rather popular with the crowds lining the Coronation route in 1953. She rode open carriage in the rain and enthusiastically waved to the crowds. Obviously they were easily pleased back in 1953...

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Architect Joern Utzon. He is the designer of Australia's most famous building, the Sydney Opera House. The Queen is to thank him for his work on the building but he is too ill to travel. He is 88 years old. He will instead be represented by his son.

    Near misses 2006

I read about him in the Sun only last week. He was grumbling because he couldn't get the drugs he wanted to help him with illness. And now, he's dead.

    Near misses 2006

One day after I put him on my DDP consideration list for 2007. I didn't think he would make it.

    Tom Weir

Indeed, an hour of late night TV on Grampian certainly does go quickly with him. When he does die, we will have the tribute shows to look forward to. Another excuse for a bloody repeat... Could be worse - you could have SKY. And pay for them. I do have sky, but most of the time there is nothing decent on. Even the documentaries are crap these days.

    Slobodan Milosevic

His wife wants to bury him in Belgrade. Only problem is that there are arrest warrants for most of the Milosevic family. So it could be a very interesting funeral.

    Slobodan Milosevic

Well, you know. I made a half decent attempt at a joke yesterday so I think I'm doing ok.
