    New Year Resolutions

I suppose I could try to be nicer to people... But then again there's nothing in it for me. I shant bother this year mainly due to the fact that I have forgotten the resolution that I set myself last year.
  2. How exactly does one get into a feud with a moderator? I know how it evolved with the one who is no more, but how with the rest? I've had my fair share of tellings off but thats about it. Members on the other hand....

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

raider+Dec 28 2005, 09:42 PM--> QUOTE(Tom( raider @ Dec 28 2005, 09:42 PM) When will the new list be made public? Well you either wait until the 1st of January, or you bribe a moderator.

    I Wish

Thats actually a good point. I very rarely mention death. I normally argue, make lewd comments and try to be slightly amusing.

Tempus, I see you have unravelled the mystery of Banshees posting style (the one where he only types across the left side of the page). Unless your posting from his computer, which I doubt.
  6. Why thank you, thank you very much. I'm surprised Banshees didn't think of it first, but on a much grander scale ofcourse....

    I Wish

There have been many attempts to begin a deathlist thread that has nothing to do with death. As far as I can tell there was one successful thread but it....em.....went missing. There used to be a 'chat 'feature on the actual forum (I'm told) but it had to be discontinued because the admin and mods were saying too much about deathlist secrets. And yes, this thread has a very short life expectancy.....

    Most Memorable Of Dl 2005.

Thinking back on all the good times we had over the year, what has been your favorite and most memorable. Is it Banshees power to predict deaths, Tempus’ early obsessive compulsive posting disorder, or indeed my spelling. Was it the heralding of a new era of moderators, the death of deathlist matriarch the Pope or was it simply talking to some of the lovely DL ranters (including our resident Castro ranter). Indeed, I will share my most memorable time. It is of course, the run in with our good friend the Royal Forums. Who would have thought that it would have dragged on for as long as it did . We even got a prominent ‘Super Moderator’ to join our ranks.

    Near Misses for 2005

I think we have found a replacement for Peter Jennings in Iain....
  10. Oh well, it could have been worse. Someone else might have stolen the domain name, or it could have happened next weekend. regards, Hein If I had reserved the domain name when it asked me if I wanted it, would I have destroyed the entire forum and be the proud owner of an empty web page called deathlist.net?

Who'll Be The First To Go?

Saddam Hussein will be the first to die. I'm certain he will be executed. It's a country in the middle east(ish) area controlled by Americans with a Texan in office as President. His chances of avoiding execution are as slim as an anorexic tape worm.

    Most Memorable Of Dl 2005.

A new last minute memorable moment of 2005 would be the forum going down. First I thought I was banned, then (after contact with others) we reached the conclusion that we had been hacked. This led to the introduction of the Provisional Deathlist.net until services resumed. Might be worth joining incase we find ourselves in that mess again. There is also a 'chat' feature which I remember some people wanted earlier on in the year....
  13. Thank goodness. I thought I had been banned to begin with.....

    Near Misses for 2005

We get the point. And do we really care if they died a whole month or week ago? Next we'll have a back list of 6 month. If you have a list, why not post them all in one post......

No it's not... wey aye it is dick head Wey aye......naw.
  16. Indeed, there is still a chance of another death this year. It's not like there must be a space of a month between deaths. Besides, most of them are old and Christmas is likely to depress them due to a massive increase in the amount of socks they own (all except Al Lewis).

Has someone been drinking? You'll regret it in the morning. Unless you can get your hands on an orange Scottish potion known locally as 'the Bru'.

Some footballer died. He played for Liverpool and there was apparently lots of pissed of fans. I believe he went by the name of Hughes. But it was before my time at deathlist begun.....

    Queen Elizabeth II

Indeed, he is a visitor attraction to my town as he worked there for a while. The famous transmission was made from somewhere around the town (I think). There is even a plaque in one of the churches where he would sit on a Sunday morning. Edit: Turns out he was only here for 3 weeks in 1904.

This guy certainly wasn't British either.

    Welcome back Earl Gloomy.
  24. Windsor

    Queen Elizabeth II

Well, he's not British, which would probably be a problem. Has anyone non-British appeared on a UK postage stamp? *Cue frantic Google trawling* Every member of the (German) Royal Family. I was always led to believe that you were a British national if you were born in the country. Every monarch since George III has been born in England (if your child is likely to take the throne you cannot have it in Scotland) and therefore every monarch on a stamp is British not German. Blood has nothing to do with it.....in my opinion. Besides, even the earliest of the Hanoverians were given British citizenship prior to Queen Anne's death including Sophia, the Electress of Hanover, who died before Anne. But there's always Prince Philip. He wasn't born in Britain although he is a British national..........
