My history lecturer talks of the World Wars as a European Civil War which lasted from 1914(or before) to 1945. Needless to say, I disagree with the description 'Civil War'.

I think he is talking about the Anschluss in 1938. It not what I would regard a war.

I took my daughter to a farm today and let her feed the geese, chickens and turkeys. They also had parrots, owls and other such creatures. It was strangely deserted for a Saturday. I agree that MH would make a good admin however there is a 'rank and file' about the place and as Teddy has served for quite a long time as moderator, it is only fair that he be considered above any new moderators. I noticed HCW posted above, she could be considered because she is always here and posts quite regularly. But then again, the master has expressed no need for more admin and so there is no need for considerations. Perhaps millwall's services could be used to find out which of the now three 'would be' candidates get the backing of the forum membership .

I was watching the news (surprised?) and I learned that the Judge in Saddam's case is a Curd. I believe the Curds were heavily oppressed by Saddam. Anyhow, if he's found guilty (which is fairly probably) it is very likely that the Curdish Judge will implement capital punishment. But then again, if this week is anything to go by, the Judge shall probably be a 'Cu'rd Creamed' by the time sentencing comes up. (In case you had not guessed the purpose of this entire post was to tell my custard cream gag.)

I changed my settings to German time so it becomes the proper time for UK. It works for me.

There does seem to be a lack of admins around these days doesn't there? I know its not my place, but I propose that the other admins appoint a new admin member. I suggest that they choose one of the more experienced mods such as Teddy. I seem to recall that he was after the job a while ago. It certainly would make up for Stayin Alives disappearing act...
