    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Human remains...sounds like they've been there for a while. Probably a poacher shot by Phil the Greek. Or possibly another another member of the Royal Forums: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2044588/Queen-obsessive-Robert-Moores-body-lay-100-yards-Buckingham-Palace-3-YEARS.html . We haven't heard from whats-her-face for a while...

What is Guy Innes-Ker's condition at the moment? last I read he was receiving treatment in London but other than that news is a big vague on him I dropped him due to lack of news too. He practically lives next door to Lady Grendel, so she may have some inside info.

Its optimism on the Committee's part...they're hoping he won't live long enough to see his birthday in December...

    Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi

Those teams who end up with more than 10 hits usually only achieve it by choosing people who are famous for being ill, or nobodies who might just achieve an obit because they are in the outer fringes of fame. Sadly the latter kind of candidate is on the rise because of the unique pick bonus. The fact of the matter is that if you have too many unique picks, it just means you haven't grasped the idea of a celebrity deadpool...not that I'm bitter or anything. (I can't really speak because I have resorted to choosing such picks...Bruce Shand...Josie Grove...Robert Salmond...Dame Lesley Strathie...)

Apologies to Paul Bearer for my disappearing act from deathchat earlier...unexpected visitors meant the laptop had to go away...

    Derby Dead Pool 2012

Joost van der Westhuizen is an interesting pick who I was actually aware of when choosing my picks. There is no doubt that he is ill and worth a shed load of points, but the prognosis in May 2011 was an 80% chance of living 2-5 years. That suggests to me that he will live to 2013 at least...unless I've read it wrong.

    Nelson Mandela

Mandela had to be put on the list just for insurance. It would be very embarrassing if he died and we missed him...

    The Dead Of 2012

According to me, it's still 2011, for 19 minutes, so, he's a 2011 death, in my eyes. On a different note, what do you guys think of my 2012 list, in my sig? too long and its too crazzy - 130 names - you will be lucky to get 10% of them! 68 is 18 too many too...you're going to have to choose your top 50 from that for a head to head battle.

Quite a few good ones there. It's a Good Thing such letter spaghetti is often served late in life. regards, Hein Had I waited I could've stuck on Clive James. He was made an OBE in yesterday's Honours List.

Who Should Be on the 2012 DeathList?

I'm not sure if the Committee* can put Mubarak on the list. There is a real chance he could be executed, and if he is that technically wouldn't be a hit - unless I am confusing my deathlist unwritten rules with the DDP rules? *I am aware it is the Committee's list, and that they can do what they want - even move the goal post. Ethan Zohn: Oh feck! I forgot all about him. I'm not sure about his obit chances. That asside, I can see no reason for not choosing him.

    Etta James

Like Etta James, I think we can all breathe easy: http://www.sacbee.com/2011/12/30/4153256/etta-james-condition-better-taken.html She has been taken off the respirator, and is breathing on her own. I'm no doctor, but surely this means she will see 2012...not that I mean to jinx it...

(Return Of) The Celebrity Split List

Posted here yesterday http://www.deathlist...ndpost&p=167074 Tell me - do I have a shit sense of humour, or is Russell Brand just a shit comedian? I don't find him funny in the slightest.
