CP - I'm so sorry that I was unable to get my act together in time to submit my teams to you. Rather unfortunately, it's all gotten a bit hectic in the World of Eternum and so your DP deadline simply passed me by, as did your ever-so-kind DP deadline extension. Fingers crossed my picks were so rubbish that they'll still be around next year. The site looks spectacular, btw. Snaps!

TF - by no means do I question your sources. However, given the demographics of those dying at the moment, I would assume the most popular funereal song to be Sinatra's I Did it My Way. Bit of a cliche of course, but then most older people are.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUNO! Please excuse the belatedness of this most sincere wish, as I've been hobnobbing with the gown crowd. I shall have a sip of sherry in your honour immanently. -

HURRAH!! Another DL graduate finally struts his stuff across the stage into the netherworld! I've said it before and I'll say it again: GO TEAM DL! Fingers crosses that this is just a sampling of great things to come over the next few months...

An excellent suggestion. This was my favourite rant from last year, I think. At the time I advocated recognition for quality by way of calendrical inclusion. However, the idea of you and black strappiness has convinced me that an awards ceremony is defo the way forward.

Deathlisters take note: this is a fabulous insult! I think we should all try to use it in a sentence tomorrow. I love it! reasonbran234, not totally sure what you're on about, and don't really care, but kudos for the insult! I for one think it's great! Survey says... two enthusiastic thumbs up!!

Avast, Me Hearties! It Be Talk Like A Pirate Day!
in eternum+ replied to Star Crossed's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Shiver me timbers! My pirate name is: Calico Ethel Cash Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake [editor's note: **sigh!** ]. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr! -
Since posting this last Saturday (aka one week ago) 36 new members have joined. Of these, only 9 have posted, and of those nine only 3 have posted more than once. Am I the only one who finds it odd that so many people are joining the forum of late? Every time I log on, there's a new 'newest member' listed at the bottom of the page.

Whey-hey! That happened at my alma mater! Sigh... frosh week... I remember it* well... *well, some parts of it, at least...

yeah, ie+, it's the tagline for the National Enquirer tv ads. Hurrah! I haven't seen one of their adverts in probably 10 years, yet their tagline is well and truly stuck in my mind. Talk about effective advertising!

May I ask why there is a "Hall of Kings" but not a "Hall of Queens"? Is it because only blokes play Deadpool? Or perhaps only men die? Inquiring minds want to know (I want to know!)*. *does anyone other than myself understand this reference?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY GRENDEL!!! I'm very pleased that I managed to get back online in time to wish you a good one! Hope scsi showered you with sugar and spice and everything nice... ie+ -
Banshees, if I ever want your opinion I'll... no wait... I can't actually think of a scenario in which I'd consider your opinion insightful, useful, or of any value at all, so I can't really complete this sentence.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my homepage website... I didn't even realise it had died! So sad... the Internet is the lesser for its demise.

Well done, CarolAnn! You're now a bonified, properly deflowered Deathlister - snaps!

No need to apologise, Mr A! The nice thing about the DL is that it's not just entertainment, it's also a lifestyle an education.

The return of the stats from their long soggiorne elsewhere has brought to my attention just how many new members are joining on a daily basis. I had a look: we've had sixty (sixty!) new members join in the past month - a multiplicitous twenty-six (twenty-six!!) in the past week alone! Where have they all come from? Where are they all going? And why, whilst here, are most of them not posting even though they've gone to the effort of joining? A sizeable chunk of that number are spammers, who join in order to start a thread advertising their dubious websites. Magere Hein quickly bans them. Oh, I see. But still... sixty!! I'm wrong the spammers who are banned don't show up on the members list, so the amount you refer to are genuine members. Buggered if I know why they don't post though. Perhaps we put them off with our rapier wit, intellectual analysis, incredible insight, and fantastic punctuation, grammar and syntax?

Hello Mr Alphonsin, and belated welcome! May I recommend a perusal of this thread, and in particular point #2 in our esteemed admin's first post in the thread. It explains how to put links of articles etc. into posts, so you don't have to post entire really long articles.
