    Why Are We Here?

Is this a new religion founded by one of our Mods?

Hear Hear! (Though I'm all for maximising success.) And if the DidTheyDie stats are to be believed (they are over 70% accurate, you know), then we can confidently consider some younger candidates.

    Paul Hunter

It looks like Joe needs a spelling lesson. Not to mention one in punctuation - I got slightly dizzy reading his post! On second reading, I think it's supposed to be a poem, but joe's space bar wasn't working. Perhaps it was supposed to read something like this: Have sum respect u: Sados for Paul Hunter! He has got something wich can kill him and u, r making a joke of it u r... A joke: get a life u. NOT! Make jokes from stuff like: that u wouldnt cum. OUT! And say that has youll get your head kicked in. U better watch: someone dont if u carry on. Has people r goin to hear about this... Deep, joe. Really deep.

When I was in NYC a short while ago I saw a poster for a one-woman show being performed by Bea Arthur on broadway, in which she was lookin pretty spry. So I had a super-quick nose on the web and it looks like she's booking shows well into next year. It would seem that there's life in her yet - not necessarily 2006 material.

    The Remakable Banshees Scream

I observed your drunken spree, BS. I have now resolved to switch off before I fall asleep so that I don't wake at 4am to such a load of BS. O yes my mistake Captain - I even sent you a PM! and me! and me! You were certainly on a role that night...

    A Shortlist 2006

I voted for Biggs. Get the bastard off the list! I would have also voted for Maradona if multiple votes were possible.
  7. We're coming into a cold snap now Iain, that might take one or two of them, don't be too down hearted There is still plenty of time, so I would not yet lose hope. Regards, ff Deathlist.net Graduates in November and December Ray Moore – December 1st, 1989 Dan Maskell – December 10th, 1992 Bill Bixby – November 21st, 1993 Paul Eddington – November 4th, 1995 Jackie Mann – November 12th, 1995 Dean Martin – December 25th, 1995 Dr. Hastings Banda – November 27th, 1997 Lord Lew Grade – December 13th, 1998 Quentin Crisp – November 21st, 1999 Mary Whitehouse – November 22nd, 2001 Lord Scarman – December 8th, 2004 Artie Shaw – December 30th, 2004 Having gone out on a limb and quasi-predicted a DL graduation elsewhere, it is now the time. I reckon we'll be mourning the loss of young Claude within the month (that is, between Nov 15th - Dec 15th). It will be sad to see him go, but I'm sure he'll be happy knowing that his passing is doing the DL a tremendous service. Plus, death always increases book sales, which I'm sure will be good for surviving family members etc.

    The Deathlist Christmas Special!

That make it 3 of us, including Entropy, that like Christmas. Cheers Lady G! Regards, ff Hello! I personally LOVE Christmas. All the fabulous prezzies, and super-tasty food, and excitement, and lovely decorations, and parties, and shopping, and days off work, and most importantly Christmas carols. Christmas Carols are my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE! Honestly - these songs only come out once a year, and everybody gets to sing them, no matter how bad a singer they are, and they're so cheery and some are quite beautiful (though of course some are pants). And there's loads of great concerts, including my all-time favourite which is the singalong Messiah, where the audience gets to sing all the choruses with the choir. How can people not love this?? Admittedly, I don't like that the hype starts mid-October. But like Bald Rick says, just ignore it until you don't want to anymore. And I know that it's un-PC and all that, but I say: bring on the materialism! I love giving presents, and I love getting presents. And if the DeathList Merch were of a higher calibre, many of my family members would be receiving DL items this year. Why shouldn't Christmas have evolved as a holiday? I'm not of any particular religious vein, but I don't see why I should be shamed into not enjoyed the festivities. Maybe this is why Jews for Jesus has come to be - just a bunch of Jews who want to sing carols and have Christmas trees.
  9. With my real name I was transformed into "CC Cheesecake", which is not particularly rockstarish (though would probaly make a great backup singer's name). With my logon name I became "Sam 'The Snake' Mucus". They call me The Snake... They call me The Cheesecake... Hm.

    Bloody Fireworks!

Being away from England at this point in time is great! Nary a firework have I heard. The thing that bothers me about the whole fireworks issue is not fireworks on the night, it's that they start about a fortnight before the 5th, and then seem to continue on well into mid-November! That, and when people set them off in the middle of the night.

    Hurrah! Yep.

Congrats!! (I did try to give you more fireworks, but I wasn't allowed to )

    Claude Levi-Strauss

Here's a photo of the professor which accompanied a recent article in Le Figaro. Nothing about his immanent demise or state of health, unfortunately. But still, looks promising...

    Deathlist - The Band

Could I please audition to be a backup singer? I'm absolutely convinced they have the most fun and they get to wear the best outfits. I'm very good with a tambourine.

Isn't this usually the point at which one of the mods contributes a comment or two about IP addresses?

Wow. I had no idea; that never even crossed my mind!! Honestly, it is quite possible that I'm the most gullible person ever. Between this and the Landover Baptist Church site... geez!

Well, windsor, you didn't have to advertise about how unwise you are; that's not exactly news, is it? What's so difficult about the concept that I'm who I say I am? Is this a riddle?

    Halloween

I know! I was all prepared for the masses, and only got two groups! I was really disappointed. When I was growing up the only time you went to a party instead of going out was if it was too cold or there was too much snow to make walking round the neighbourhood viable. Between trick-or-treating and going to a party, the latter was the lesser of the two options.

Of course, we have our own in-house Royals expert! What was I thinking?? My most profoundest apologies, Windsor! Wasn't implying that the position needed filling, I was simply trying to get Entropy more thematically involved. Yes I know, Earl Gloomy is very good in the Royalty thing. Especially with European Royalty.

I've just read this thread for the first time, and it's really really funny! I think Roberto is definitely my favourite ranter so far. Can he go in the calendar, please?

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

Shame he won't remember it. Probably the only action he's seen in a while. Is this the point at which I mention my coat?
