I found that a little odd also, but as long as it helps Mikey get his way, he likely doesn't care. I like the mention that the pictures of Biggsie are in the public's interest. Yeah, we're interested alright, and would like another DL hit.

I'm basing this on having worked with demented patients in the past - when your responses are down to a single word and you don't recognize someone you've known atleast for 20 years - you're likely down to your last 6 months or so, but don't quote me. I've seen people who don't recognize their own children linger for more than a year. I think Estelle would be up for a reunion special...like her co-star said...her only response to anything was 'yes'. All she'd have to do is wander around, try to open the doors, mumble incoherently to herself and soil her diaper and things will be fine. That's an awful though on my part.

To sum it up, doctors predict that he's going to live, atleast for a while, and maybe achieve a status greater than a garden vegetable, but there's a snowball's chance in hell of Sharon every being independent and politically productive. The deathpooler in me wanted to see the word 'hospice' in the article.

So the article mentions that he spends most of his day hooked up to an IV and that ol' Biggsie had coughing fits that kept his visit extra brief, but to be honest, in order for me to believe all that crap, I need to see video footage to determine how messed up the man really is. Corpse tease. If Ronnie does get out, I doubt we'll see the mad skills of the ol' global hide and seek champion.

If only the good die young, then we need to look no further into why Pinochet's lived this long. But then how do we explain Milosevic? Slobo had help kicking that nasty breathing habit. I am disappointed that Milosevic didn't rot in a cell for another 20 years.

Right there with you. I've seen a number of demented old bats circling the drain who look like they're with it, but I may have underestimated the Baroness.

He's slowing down, and I don't know of any diseases that could hasten his decline. Until I hear the word 'cancer' or 'heart problems' or 'meth induced psychosis', I'm going to continue to think that Wallace will live into his 90's.

Rehnquist had thyroid cancer and was seen fairly close up repeatedly, hell, sometimes he was even heard when he covered his tracheotomy in court. Supreme Court Billy was going to keep going with his duties until his toes curled up. That man was a publicly viewable slam dunk. Ford, while old, frail and sick, is a little tougher to pinpoint as far as death is concerned. Anytime you hear or see anything resembling a public eulogy, and details on someone's health seem to be a little lacking, something has to be up. Personally, I'm waiting for Ford to go cold and stiff, but not banking on it happening in the coming days and weeks. Could be wrong though.

Former Texas Governor Anne Richards, 72, was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer. http://cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/03/08/richard...r.ap/index.html The severity of her cancer is still unknown, but she may be someone to think about for 2007. Oh, Evel Knievel...on top of Hep C, he has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and has maybe 2-4 years left according to his doctors although he's already having his headstone carved out. Keep an eye on him though, he may be ripe for the picking.

dead Dana Reeve (Christopher's Widow)
MyBrainHurts2 replied to Tempus Fugit's topic in DeathList Forum
I wonder if the kid has '666', or '616' on the top of his head. Now seriously, you have to feel for the kid...I do and I hardly feel for anyone I'm not familiar. -

Reunited??!!??!! Some people believe that. I don't. Right there with you. It's a dirt nap and nothing more. Any bets on when we get our first ranter regarding Dana Reeve? -
Kudos, MBA. Looks like he has a scrot on his chin. Sorry...I had to say it.

Have one of those stories myself - working with the demented. Woman brought in as a patient, obviously well cared for but demented as all hell. Like your guy, she was walking around, looking for a way out so she could get home to her husband. Turns out her husband, who had been taking care of the woman, could no longer care for the woman, and simply couldn't take the stress anymore. This woman's husband shot himself in the head with her at home. How demented was this woman? I showed her hubby's obituary and she figured it was just another man with the same name as her husband, and didn't remember the newspaper being there less than a minute later. Since she didn't remember...no harm, no foul.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/location/story.c...jectID=10361278 nothing specific on his illness. He was admitted in mid-December, and another article in an Aussie paper acknowledges that King Tupou IV was still hospitalized in Aukland as of 2 weeks ago. Anyone who spends 2 months in a hospital has to be in crap shape.

If she's as demented as some of us hope she is, and she took a walk at 3am in diapers and nightgown...I'd call it newsworthy.

Isn't he wheelchair bound? About jake the snake - I'd be more concerned with his crack addiction than his depression.

Like others have said, I like the odds of the Earthquake shuffling off this mortal coil.

ohhh, fuuuuuuuudge.

Saw an interview with him a couple months ago. Looks decent enough, claims he's in complete remission. I'm inclined to believe him.

More here Love the article and the fact that he's converted to Catholicism...just what that religion needs, another child molester. If he's convicted to more time in that Vietnamese hellhole, he stands a good chance of being beaten to a pulp. If he were in an American prison, he'd likely be gang raped to the tune of "I'm leader of the gang (I am)". To be honest, I've never heard the song, and don't care to.

A couple years ago, he participated in a lecture series at Johns Hopkins via videoconference because he was too frail to travel. As much as I'd like to see this news as another possible notch on the Deathlist bedpost, I can't get excited...now if he falls and breaks a hip or needs an angioplasty or something like that, I'll start watching.

I heard the same report - phrased a little differently. George W. and 3 former US presidents will be attending (Clinton, Papa Bush, and Carter). Tells me Ford is still reeling from his recent health problems. I've seen people hang on for longer with worse conditions, but Former Pres. Ford is on his way out.

Your Least Impressive Celebrity Encounters
MyBrainHurts2 replied to Phantom's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I used to work in a psychiatric hospital that was frequented by the US entertainment industry (patient and visitor). For legal reasons, I can't begin to list the celebs I've brushed against. I did have a number of run-ins with Stacy Keibler while growing up, although I haven't talked to her since I graduated college - that, I can talk about. I did try to drunkenly talk with Charla (the dwarf from The Amazing Race) at a party in college, but got c***-blocked by a co-worker. Also asked to keep a future one-hit wonder entertained while she was in town for vacation (I was a friend of her cousin's) but since I was 20 and she was 14...it wasn't happening. Can you say 'jailbait'?
