    Fat And Fearless

Great Britain's largest person is 700lbs? You have it good. A couple times a year, we'll have a story here in the states about some 1,000lb person who needs to needs to get to a hospital, but can't get through the door, so emergency services has to knock down a wall of their house and hoist them out using a crane. Welcome to the United States of McDonald's. I think the dangers of obesity would be best displayed by airing this person's autopsy on television. I want to see that 8lb, black, fatty liver.

    U.S. Political Figures over 85

Yeah, Byrd claims to have tossed off his robe and hood years ago. West Virginia is a backwoods place to begin with, tons of local jokes from the Marylanders. No offense to anyone, but West Virginians are sterotyped around here as having less than half their teeth, a 4th grade education, coal dust in their blood, marry their cousin (that's if their siblings are unavailable), and screw their livestock. It's only like that in some pockets though.

    U.S. Political Figures over 85

They'll be flying the Confederate flag half-staff prett soon. I wonder if he'll be buried in a suit...or in his white robe and hood.

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

wanna add Stephen Hawking to that list? Zsa Zsa's hubby is an ass. Mr. "I always wanted money without doing much of anything, but now I have a near 90 wife who needs round the clock care." His attitude could work in the favor of anyone who has the ol' cop slapper on their lists. Hubby could put a little too much rat poison in her oatmeal one morning...

What Are You Doing For Easter

Probably going to visit my parents and grandparents on Easter Sunday. As far as sweets go...I live 100 feet from a candy store, so there's no chance in avoiding candy.

Met a former opera singer when I worked at a psych hospital (which is why I can't name her, but take my word for it). She was all of 5'2" and pushing 200lbs at the ripe age of 91 and, unlike Luciano, she could still sing. That was 8 years ago though, so I doubt she's still alive and if so, she's very demented by now. Now if you can find me a picture of an old, overweight opera singer with a bucket of fried chicken in each hand, I'd back him/her as a Dead Pool pick.

Fun with dementia: "Denis....dead? Pull the other leg...I'd remember something like that. Nice try, I saw Denis just this morning. Now are you going to start this roller coaster or am I going to have to drink another cup of tea and watch the doggies go down to the grocery store and harass the vagrant on the corner until my shoes are just tight enough to change my nappy?" Love that dementia.

    Margaret Thatcher

Come on, give her (Weinberger's widow) a break, she's as old as dirt. I'll bet in the good ol' days, she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. Maggie was on her feet, which is a good sign. If she's healthy enough to travel and attend a public funeral without intense supervision (and possibly no diaper), she must be getting along OK...I still wouldn't mind seeing her drop dead though.

    Billy Preston

you can add Stu Sutcliffe, and a host of pre-Ringo drummers outside of good ol' Petey to the list of 5th Beatle candidates, just as long as no one tosses in Yoko or Phil Spector. Billy has to keep up with the drugs while on dialysis if he's going to kick the bucket, since I doubt he's going to go the Art Buchwald route and refuse dialysis outright.

    When Deathlisters Go Shopping

$72? Does it play? Absolutely. It's going to cost nearly twice that to have it moved across town. Although as they stated in the auction "Three keys dont (sic) work, the right black key, the left white and black key, but is generally in good condition" which means the bottom A and B flat stick and the top A needs a hammer repair. But who plays those ones anyway? Only $72? That and the moving costs seem to be well worth it. What made someone want only $72, was there a dead body stuffed in it at some point? For a while, I collected Baseball and American Football memorabilia...but shortly after I started, I realized I didn't have space for it all and I didn't trust the storage space in my apartment complex.

    Gerald Ford

Balmerese - highly bastardized American form of the English language, dialect spoken in the mid-Atlantic region. (background...a lot people in Baltimore really do speak an odd local accent, enough so that they pronounce Baltimore, "Balmer". These people are Baltimorons.) U gonna wach dem O's? Um gonna get me some karabs ensum natty boh and go on down the oooshun hon. I couldn't have typed it better myself. Get me good n' drunk around some friends, and I start sounding a little like that with a touch of New England here and there in it. Translation: Are you going to watch the Orioles (baseball)? I'm going to get some crabs and Natty Boh (National Bohemian beer) and go to the ocean (Ocean City, Maryland), hon (no translation).

    Not Exactly Famous...

shotgun formation in American football (don't know of a shotgun formation in hockey). Guess it doesn't really matter...dead is dead, and the majority of Americans still don't know who he is.

    Docter Docter!

Sorry to here that MBH2, my parents next elderly door neighbour had MS too, how badly does it affect you? Not much, compared to most. I can walk a mile on a treadmill, but haven't been able to run in 9 years. I still hit the gym 3-4 times a week. I can still do leg presses with more than my own weight. I have a little muscle stiffness and some leg muscle spasms, but that's it for the most part. I still work 40 hours a week and can mentally keep up with the best of them. I don't see a scooter or wheelchair in my future.

I'd laugh if Nancy Reagan kicked ol' Gerry in the crotch, but that's not going to happen, now is it? If Gerry does live long enough to see 100, you will have forgotten about laughing about it by then.

damn, that's friggin' hilarious. Jack's too tough to die just yet, not to mention I haven't heard that he has any health problems that would put him at risk.
