She is not quite the best looking centenarian I've ever seen, that's for sure. (I googled, and she actually made it to 102, before finally submitting to the inevitable in 1999). But let's get back to our beloved Brooke. Does anyone know what 'being active in NY society' actually means?

If 'N-word' points to a negroid human being, I very much doubt that Richard Pryor overlooked them while visiting Africa.

I'm not supportive of the death penalty an sich, but it's the law in his country. The guy has had 24 years of trials and appeals to prove his innocence. He clearly failed to do so, so why Arnie should have granted him clemency is beyond me. All those convicted criminals in search of a parole 'bettered their lives', 'found Christ' and 'wish to do good for the community'. Yeah right.

No Brooke Astor for me, this time. Alexander Solzhenitsyn seemed like a good pick! The Russian winter can't do much good to a man of his age...

Twelve down, two more to go to beat the all time record! Would that be too much to ask for the next three weeks? Has any stats-freak monitored how many nominees tend to die in december?

I never heard of this Rickman chap. You must be kidding? I'm sure you couldn't have missed prof. Snape in the Harry Potter movies? (The Goblet of Fire has its premiere in the Netherlands today!)

Blimey, you've lived in some of the most violent trouble spots in the world. Nottingham is not that rough, these days, is it? And if unjustice and violence will once again be sweeping through the rustic streets, I suppose a man with green thights and beret would come to the rescue! By the way, I consider myself a real Rickmaniac ever since Alan Rickman so marvellously turned the Sheriff of Nottingham into a raging lunatic in Robin Hood, Prince of thieves.

Don't we feel sorry for him? The stress must be unbearable... I visited the trial in The Hague once, when I participated in a college course on genocide (I study contemporain history), and Milosevic seemed to be nodding and dozing during the entire afternoon-session. I can't see how that would cause him the amount of strain that would lead to heart-failure, really. It might be the continuous fear of dropping the soap under the shower, though. The guy has been in prison for over four years now, mind.

So it is true: it's always the good guys that die first...

Looks like we may have a period of extra-time . . . And even a replay (more booze) Don't despair too soon: the ref might be wrong.

Is that the little robot from Star Wars?

That is so... true. regards, Hein And you always run into some-one you wouldn't expect there...

I detest the use of smilies (they're childish, annoying and they deteriorate the language), but your post certainly deserved it! I'd say this does:

Well, call me an insensitive shithead, but I still think it's crap. It may be amusing crap, I don't know, but it's crap nonetheless. The layout s*cks, some text-editors suffer from severe dyslexia and the movies are getting on my nerves. But well, the internet is full of crap, so that's okay with me.

You do realise that we didn't kill her. Or I didn't atleast..... The ranter might have been talking about bad karma. The more we talk (or even: think) about one's demise, the more likely it's going to happen soon. I think we ought to give it a try. From now on: please mention Ronnie Biggs at least once in every post! You never know about this karma-crap...

Sharon Osbourne. If it was Martini, I bet Sharon's body fluids would have greatly enhanced the taste.

That would be this post?

It may be the lack of punctuation, the excessive use of caps, or maybe I'm just too old for this crap, but I really don't understand a word of this. What's the PPL, for example? Is it life-threatening to be involved in music royalties? Can't we have an age-filter to this forum?

Wow, that sounds like a miracle!

My suggestion would be Jean, the former Grand Duke of Luxembourg. His wife passed away last year and HRH looked extremely frail at the occasion. He's also 84 years old and not getting any younger. (His proper name is Jean Benoit Guillaume Robert Antoine Louis Marie Adolphe Marc d'Aviano by the Grace of God, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Duke of Nassau, Prince of Bourbon-Parma, Count Palatine of the Rhine, Count of Sayn, Königstein, Katzenellenbogen and Diez, Burgrave of Hammerstein, Seigneur of Mahlberg, Wiesbaden, Idstein, Merenberg, Limburg and Eppstein. The more obscure the royalty, the longer their names, don't you think?) -

Spouse Cindi Knight (2 April 1983 - present) Solica Cassuto (1973 - 1981) Barbara Edwards (1949 - 1972) He doesn't seem to have much luck with the women either, does he? Do you think it's possible he took a leaf out of the Matlock-books himself? He still has to turn eighty though. And the Guillain-Barré Syndrome does sound nasty, but it says here: That's not too promising. We'd better leave Matlock for another year, I think. -
Well, if they can't, I would be glad to take care of the problem.

I don't care about the hanging, but if Osama would be so kind to divulge his present whereabouts, it would give Deathlist.net some scope.
