dead O.J. Simpson: Run Out Of Juice?
angryGreatness replied to BCAlum2000's topic in DeathList Forum
I just read a comment on one of the stories , apparently the president can only commute or pardon federal prisoners , OJ Simpson is under Nevada state care. So would he get treatment in jail and his family pay for it Or isn't he allowed treatment maybe one of our American members can answer that? If he doesn't have brain cancer and can't get treatment might be a good pick for 2015. Prisoners receive medical treatment for whatever ails them. Depriving them of medical care would violate the 8th Amendment. And yeah, President Obama can't commute OJ's sentence even if he wanted to. Only the Governor of Nevada, who is a Republican, could let him out. -

Ideas And Possibilities For 2014

A few of my picks: Add: -Don Rickles (Poor health, looks like hell, don't know how popular he is in the UK though) -Alan Young -Jimmy Carter (At 90, he's at the point where he could die suddenly and be a massive miss should he not be on the list) -Boutros Boutros-Ghali Remove: -Stan Lee (Recovered from heart problems, )-Pete Seeger (Still active, healthy) -Hosni Mubarak -Harper Lee -Ian Paisley -
I did better than I did in 2012. That's good enough for me. I figure I'll get into the Top 10 in 2014, the Top 5 in 2015, and win the whole thing in 2016 with the deaths of Bob Hoskins and Fernando Ricksen pulling me across the finish line.

Ideas And Possibilities For 2014

There's maybe two people on my DDP 2014 entry that haven't been mentioned anywhere on this forum. -
Sent my team in last night. Now to see which one of my picks dies in the last week of December, like always.

If a person is executed without trial (ala the North Korean adviser who was offed today), would that count for a hit or would it fall under the "executions don't count" rule?

I'm guessing Bush Sr. will beat Zsa Zsa for #1 pick. Expect Graham and Jaruzelski to move up the list if they survive to January, while Mubarak, Penny Marshall, and Aretha Franklin to move down or drop off completely. As for new faces on the Drop Forty, I predict Wilko Johnson and Valerie Harper to make the list, as well as Ray Price in the unlikely event he makes it to January.
