    Ideas And Possibilities For 2014

Well, you know what, I'm not - as it stands - including her in 2014. If you read into her situation a little bit more, she could actually be alive for another 20 years or so. That said, tactically speaking, DDP wise, she's worth a lot of points if she did deteroriate, so for those teams who are struggling to get to 20 names, she's not the worst pick ever. I feel there's 20 better prospects than her at the moment. Agreed. She's currently one of my back-ups, and I'll probably include her 2-3 years from now (assuming she doesn't die in 2014).

    Political Frailty

Reports are coming in that Rep. C. W. Bill Young has died, for real this time, at the age of 82. Young has been in office since 1972, and his death means the Democrats are likely to take his seat. Politics, even more than dead pooling, are my passion. EDIT: Confirmed by his wife.

Well, Metsu is no longer in deadpool territory as the lion of Teranga has laid down. I mean he's dead. Knew I should've picked him over Sandy Jardine.

    Jack Nicholson

Frank Welker (1980s cartoon series), Larry Stotch (1960s cartoon series) Greg Eagles (Batman of the Future), Kevin Michael Richardson (2000s Batman cartoon). Yes I do hate myself for looking that up. I looked at this list and thought "Why do I know the name Frank Welker?" and so went off to do the obligatory wiki search where I discovered that he provided the voice of Freddie for Scooby Doo but I recognised the name because he was Abu in Aladdin. One of the better Disney "Classics". Fun Fact: Frank Welker is the second highest grossing actor after Samuel L. Jackson. The man has done a voice acting role on nearly every American animated movie/show.

    The Dead Of 2013

Worth mentioning that Maggie Smith is now the only surviving female cast member from that movie. The only actors alive are James Cromwell and Richard Norita. I know this only because Murder by Death is one of my favorite comedies.

    Nelson Mandela

I was talking to a friend that works in the State Department about Mandela. He was saying how security branches of various government (Secret Service, etc.) are dreading Mandela's funeral, because he wants to be buried in his tiny home town. There's very little infrastructure there in terms of places to stay, etc., and every major world leader will want to attend the funeral. They aren't sure, logistically, how it will be possible.

He's taking time off to fight it, and maintaining a blog in the meantime. Might get a small obit in the Washington Post or New York Times, but nothing overseas.

    Political Frailty

As a rabid liberal and political junkie, I've always liked Lautenberg. His return to office was less to do with corruption and more to do with Lautenberg hated retirement and was forced out in the first place. For a New Jersey politician, he was relatively clean especially when compared to the likes of Jon Corzine and Bob Menendez. I am, however, looking forward to seeing Cory Booker replace him in the Senate. Booker can be a bit too Wall Street friendly, but is otherwise a stellar example of what a politician should be.
