Been sober for over 26 years and off the fags for about a year longer, never did drugs although if you could see my weekly pill box you might question that. I have an unopened bottle of rum in the kitchen cupboard that I have been close to opening a few times but I mostly just sit it on the desk in front of me and stare it down while remembering everything that I lost during my drinking days then it goes back in the cupboard until the next time. The main thing that stopping drinking and smoking gave me was early retirement as I was smart enough to put the money that I used to spend into paying off the mortgage early and good savings accounts.

Am I allowed to say that I did not rate him as a racing driver? he was a good ambassador for the sport but not a true winner at it. As has been said, his death frees up a spot for next year.

What a time for my brother's cancer to return. That in itself would be bad enough news but right now it is just awful. He has been put on meds rather than having to go into hospital for the injections which rightly would be more effective in halting the growth until such a time that radiotherapy can be arranged. It seems that hospital is the most dangerous thing for him at the moment.

We should be moving up to the next level in the poll at some point today.
