DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
torbrexbones replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
That was the one at the other side of my mouth. This is the one that was damaged when I got assaulted a couple of years ago, obviously the root peg was damaged but unseen and has gradually been getting worse, the leaverage from chewing the apple must have been enough to twist the bridge off the other peg. I still have the appointment with the dentist to check the other bridge but it looks like I will need to fork out for some root canal work and a replacement bridge. I am not sure if she will be able to use the 2 good parts from the broken one. -
DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

I've been having a rough time in recent weeks with various ailments bothering me, both known and yet to be diagnosed ones and thinking that things could not get much worse than they are I find when eating an apple for my lunch today there was suddenly a hard bit in my mouth. Yes, a bridge had broken loose and was rolling about, I am now left with one exposed peg and the other broken off leaving a sharp shard sticking out from the root. At least I never swallowed the damn thing. -

I took part in a survey today and one of the questions was 'Will you watch the Oprah interview when it airs', I clicked no and was taken to the result, it was standing at 72% No so it looks like it won't have much of an audience among online survey users. eta Oops, I meant to post this on the Meghan thread. -
At 118 years old, the world's oldest living person is preparing to carry the Olympic torch this May in Japan. Kane Tanaka, who has twice survived cancer, lived through two global pandemics and loves fizzy drinks, will take the flame as it passes through Shime, in her home prefecture of Fukuoka. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/03/04/sport/japan-supercentenarian-olympic-torchbearer-hnk-intl/index.html

An asteroid the size of the Eiffel Tower will zip past Earth Friday (March 5) and be out of our planetary neighborhood until 2029. The space rock, dubbed Apophis (an ancient Egyptian demon), was first spotted in 2004 and won't pose any danger to Earth during this week's flyby; it will travel past the planet at more than 40 times the distance from Earth to the moon. But scientists are using this week as a dress rehearsal for the asteroid's next pass, on April 13, 2029, when Apophis will get as close to Earth as some of the highest-orbit satellites. https://www.livescience.com/apophis-demon-asteroid-last-flyby-until-2029.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Livesciencecom+(LiveScience.com+Science+Headline+Feed)

It was a mass clinic, I would rather have gone to the GP run clinic but I was restricted by my postcode. At the GP clinic you go in one door and exit from another, at the Hall, there is line markings on the floor and keep left signs everywhere BUT there is a flight of stairs to go up and down and it is less than 2m wide and sod's law states that is where you are going to meet people, I know I did. -
COVID 19 - Second Wave

i got my vaccine first dose yesterday evening and the lass checking me in said there had been close to 150 from my street alone in there over the course of the day, young and old so it seems to have a ring of 'postcode' about the selection process. Another point is that half the staff were doing nothing, I am not sure if it was because folk had not turned up but it did seem strange considering just last week they could not cope with the numbers waiting in line. -

I went out and got drunk after hearing of Lennon's death by gunshot and I had a Bowie night in on hearing of his death but unless it was an unexpected or traumatic death I don't think there is anyone that would trip the switch in the normal run of things. -

This could probably been in the Darwin Awards thread as well. What a place to pick a gun fight with someone. Three people have been killed and two injured in a shooting at a gun outlet in the US state of Louisiana. The local sheriff said an "initial shooter" opened fire, striking two people, which prompted several others at the shop to fire their own weapons. "It appears that several individuals ended up engaging that original suspect," Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto told reporters. "From what I understand I have multiple shooters here at this location that were either customers, employees or individuals here at the location itself," he said. Heavy snowfall disrupts the power supply, water pumps stop working = water shortage at the taps. It happens in this country all the time so less shouting about it. -
you are correct, I never saw that, looked everywhere else though and did a search on his name that brought up zero results.
