Love the format. Happy with any but think we should finish with the No.1s first -

I think we can all work out what that was meant to be before the attack of autocorrect on my phone -

I think they exist more as a concept rather than an organisation like the raft of home grown far right extremists that encourage each other on line From a deadpooling perspective it is an avoid for me -

No you must listen to them on Spotify or YouTube and then your impartial insight into which tracks deserve to be there will be invaluable You will have no cultural baggage from nostalgicly swooning over the Westlife/Spice Girls posters on your bedroom wall as a teenager -

I did also think we could do a game where each of the regular posters in this thread got to pick a song from a specific year (by invitation from Book) obviously avoiding No.1s but could be limited to Top 10 or 20 then that forms the list for the year but you are not allowed to up or downvote your own selection -
Slim Borgudd is a hit for four players Slim Borgudd ro, af, gr, sc @RoverAndOut & @gcreptile get their second F1 hit @An Fear Beag gets a second hit in a second category @Spade_Cooley get a second F1 hit but total is now three (now in the lead with respect to number of hits but in this game that is not always a guarantee of anything)

Definitely I was just thinking that I would be approaching it in a very different way I hardly had to check any of the 80s songs as they played in my head from just the title. In 1992 I got married and my wife does not do Radio and Chris Evans took over from Simon Mayo on the Radio 1 breakfast show so my car radio went to Radio 4 (which doesn't play any music). So any songs in the later part of the decade will have needed to break out to serious cultural relevance for me to connect with them In the 2000s I will come back as my daughter started listening to Radio 1 or 2 in the car on the way to school -
Obits will not be stringent but must be in English and from a News source (not social media). This could be interesting

Just fast forwarded to the 1990s the decade starts of OK but by the end I am going to have to do a lot of listening research -

Well if you are willing to share I would not say no. (PM me) or you can post here if you don't mind everyone seeing I just need to be quicker off the mark as I have a number of names but there are more players than names
-
I have managed to find some unpicked names for 1924 but it is becoming much harder

It may be doing me a big bamboozle from too many boops to my snoot but I am getting a sense of deja vu from this conversation -
@Book now moves into a winning position The three ending names are Lesley Parrish Lee Montague Ingrid van Bergen Ms van Bergen is a fascinating character who has served prison time for murder and won the German version of I'm A Celebrity when she was 77
