Authors Last A Long Time, But....
Bibliogryphon replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
She is my Wildcard pick for the game I run with former colleagues. Even if you do not recognise the name her work includes The L-shaped Room and The Indian in the Cupboard -
The ten episodes thing is causing me a bit of an issue. Many highly acclaimed dramas have fewer than ten episodes but in running time the could be equivalent to 10 half hour episodes

This is @CaptainChorizo second unique hit so all their other uniques come into play as potential outs
-
Really need something in English or Wiki to show her as dead to award points
-
No James Lovelock here?
-
I thought Busby was Richard Briers (or was that Griffon - Midland Bank?)
-
I did not pick Bernard Cribbins in a single game.
-
Bernard Cribbins is a hit here for @En Passant starring in a film alongside Leslie Phillips who by some miracle has outlived him
-
He was not on the DDP drop 40 and he was not on the crowdsourced list He has been working during the year including filming the 60th Anniversary Episode of Doctor Who - he did lose his wife at the end of 2021 but seemed in reasonable health. I think he would have been included in the 2023 list if he had survived I understand totally why he was not on the list
-
I hope he finished digging that hole
-
Congrats to @Summer in Transylvania and commiserations to @chilean way the very sad demise of Bernard Cribbins has trumped the non Obit for Bruno Foresti 1922 Rachel Robinson/John B. Goodenough 1923 Gloria Whelan/ Ned Rorem 1924 Priscilla Pointer/Sheldon Harnick 1925 Ysanne Churchman/Pete Murray 1926 Georgia Holt/Timothy Dudley-Smith 1927 Leontyne Price/Kenneth Anger 1928 Queen Ratna of Nepal/Jean Marie Le Pen 1929 Imelda Marcos/John Woodvine 1930 Edna O'Brien/Bill Treacher 1931 Leslie Caron/Ken Bates

I do actually complete the policy questionnaires which are based on the manifestos to see where I sit. I normally triangulate between Labour, LD and Green then I have to overlay FPTP pragmatism to decide my final vote. I voted Labour at the last two elections because I liked what Jeremy Corbyn was saying, Green in 2015 (after making sure the polls were not predicting a tight contest in my constituency) and LD in 2010
-
James Lovelock is one of my wildcards here 12th hit
-
James Lovelock takes me ahead of the main list to five

Starmer is terrified of being Corbyned out of the next election and so is avoiding saying anything as long as possible to avoid the papers who have a vested interest in the Conservative party being in power tear him to shreds and scare the more easily influenced part of the electorate that he is going to allow a full socialist/islamic/gay rights agenda* to trash the country. I want to vote Labour because I am a Union member but I also want to understand that the party that is elected will not just be Tory lite. Having said that I would consider voting Labour if it meant getting out Conservative MP out who is extremely Brexity *Pick whichever scares your target audience most
-
Eligible for Party Pooper bonus
-
Our MP elected in 1997 here in Kettering was fairly unreconstructed old labour but he was not stopped from standing because he was not expected to win. The next parliament could see quite a few of those so look out for the Jared Mara and Louise Mensch types By-election Bingo 24-29 could be chaotic

When Blair was PM Charles Kennedy was fantastic at sweeping up disgruntled Labour voters because the LDs appeared to have positioned themselves to the left of Labour. Ed Davey might be able to do something similar but Kier Starmer thinks he can hold on to the traditional left by just being Labour and by not opposing Brexit he might pick up some of the 2019 Tory voters that he needs to get a working majority Scottish Independence is ironically more likely under a Conservative government than a Labour one in my opinion
