June Spencer RETIRES from the role of Peggy Archer aged 103

Toyah has been quite open about her surgery to the extent she documented the whole procedure in a book. I get the impression she and Fripp have just taken a decision to enjoy themselves and probably feel they have earned it considering how many of their contemporaries have fallen by the wayside. She still tours and was o the Electric Ladies tour which Hazel O'Connor was meant to be part of before she fell ill

It would only be the harshest conspiracy theorist that assigned any suspicion to the death of Mo Mowlam but Tony Blair was less than impressed at how popular she was following the Good Friday agreement. -

"died" yeah right........ -
He has been reckless with information in his possession. If you are a believer in conspiracy theories does he know too much to live or if he is discredited will anyone ever believe anything he says again?

I'll be interested to see who is crowned the winner sometime in early 2024.....

the country as long as possible to get to know her This to me sounds like the best argument for a snap election there is. I think the more we find out about Liz Truss the less people will like her
-
I am not so sure She might pull something big out of the bag to temporarily for the cost of living crisis and the Tory press rally round her and exploit the divisions in Labour of strikes and Europe then if there is the possibility of the recession lasting all through 2023 then she might feel more confident going now than waiting until 2024

Sunak might actually be doing Liz Truss a favour by staying in the contest. One of the things that Theresa May had to contend with was resentment from the local Conservative associations that they had not had their say. They probably would have picked TM anyway but once Andrea Leadsom pulled out and it became a coronation the accusation could be made On The World Tonight there was a suggestion of a Snap Election in the 'honeymoon' period but it was only the speculation of one Conservative commentator

Nigel Lawson was trending on Twitter and I got my hopes up for a minute Apparently he has endorsed Rishi Sunak in the leadershit race

I thought that name seemed familiar

I must have submitted my team back in August or September when the thread went live and I included five subs (one of whom died in December) I had assumed that subs were automatically brought into the team on the demise of current members if that is the case I should have points for both Nichelle Nichols and June Brown and I will still be three players short of a full roster Bibliogryphon 1. If I had 50 that made the game then she was a sub just in case the others left early and my subs would have been arranged in preference order but I can see why you might want to recognise she was on people radar I actually changed my team for this game to remove some of the more obscure picks from my shadow list but it ends up with my shadow list doing better than the theoretically more competitive teams

My Twitter followers have decided this will be the finishing positions in the Premier League come May 2023

In Game V there will be stricter rules regarding English Obits (No obit = No hit) A sub required in each category (later played subs will not diminish uniques that exist at the beginning of the game) only to be played in the event of someone being dead before the game started and discovered at a later date. A lot will depend on which categories are chosen. Most of the issues have been with the Olympians (and Pulitzer) categories so anyone who is looking to find an obscure category in hopes of cleaning up need to be very sure of themselves However as it is we have a very exciting game which could end any minute (or drag on for months)

How come this years deathlist is doing so poorly?
Bibliogryphon replied to Charles De Gaulle's topic in Dead Pools
Why has it not been merged with What do you think of the 2022 List? -
Do any Conservative members think for a minute about paying attention to the polls which show amongst the wider electorate Sunak would poll better or are they obsessed with their own rancid obsessions which would lead them down an electoral dead end?
-
Yes I was confused for some reason I misread the list of outs an Ghella is not an out for you. Unger died just days before the game started but like Ghella every check suggested they were both alive. At the moment I am treating this as a failure to obit and I will tighten up the rules next time. I have not made a final decision on what to do in this case.

Following @RoverAndOut research and internvention @YorkshireBanker breaks their duck with a first unique hit and @DeathByArsenic gets a second unique hit which brings all their other unique picks into plays as potential winners The list is now 57. Replaced Goodenough with Lear

I am inclined to accept the two that died this year although I am thinking that an obit in English might be required for future rounds. I am very vague in the rules. However Mario Ghella's reference was only made on Wiki in June 2022 and I cannot find anything that backs it up. It is akin to the Irwin Unger case that came to light if we can find confirmation of his death and this is a potentially winning pick so I need something a bit more substantial. Thanks Rover!
